3-Point Hitch warning NX series tractor owners

Check your three point hitch stabilizers were they hook to the tractor with a clevis the pin that goes through that uses a hair pin to retain while mowing long grass can pull it out the arm falls into your wheel and rips your valve stem off these should be bendable cotter pins lost all my tire fluid and a days work over dollar half pin now another day and expenses to refill tire and fix valve stem

Sorry to hear about the tire issue, this is a common problem discussed from time to time with many brands not just kioti.

This happened on the second day I had my tractor out in the field last year. I didn't have a replacement pin so I ground down a larger SAE diameter pin to fit and I installed the pins from the inside out so that if the snap ring got ripped off, the pins wouldn't work out and into a rear wheel.

Not just your NX series... After reading the first post I went out and checked; sure enough the 2 lowest, most hidden, clevis pins had split-pins (cotter pins) in them. Solid ones, mind you, but if I've learnt one thing during my (sterling) Naval career it's that 'vibration' is the number one bugbear/gremlin of a maintainer. I'll need to replace the split-pins with something more robust.

Just looked at my NX and dealer has installed cotter keys on mine instead of clip pins.

Update took my nx back to perry power were it was purchased called them first before I had it unhook from the trailer they were ready to work on it they replaced valve stem and refilled liquid in tire and they check over entire tractor even did a wiring recall fix under hood by dash put new pin in that was lost and looked at hair pins that were use there going let kioti know I replaced them all with split pins so you have use pliers to remove them

We had nearly the same thing happen to one of the loader stand legs on the Kubota L3940. The presto/hair pin got pushed out while working on some brush and loader leg swung down. Luckily there was a spare in the ROPS bolt to replace it with on sight. If you have a nail in your toolbox you can always put that in the hole and bend it over for a quick fix.

There's a service bulletin about wiring under the hood something about them rubbing some were back the motor toward the dash they added some wire protection with clips to mine free warranty work check with your dealer when you have it in effects some nx models not sure which ones
