Part of your homeowner's policy or a separate policy?

Question was not to me - but .....

Because I do not live on my farm "yet", everything has its own policy. I'll have to revisit this when we get our new home finished in the spring.

Biggest chain and lock I could find and run though wheel and around rops and axle.

Similar situation. I have a remote vacant property with a couple of tractors, tools, etc. There is a local transient in and out of jail for burglary that is living about a half mile from the property. His rap sheeet shows vehicle, tool theft, etc. He is in jail right now, but he will eventually be out.

Cheap and simple is pulling the fuse which is easily jumped with a wire

Medium is turn the wheels completely to one direction and chain the steering wheel so even if towed it won't go straight up a flat bed. Bolt cutters are an easy way to get rid of almost and chain.

Use the FEL and take a tire off. A little more time consuming but will prevent the average thief. Simple and only a few minutes with an impact wrench. If someone really wants it they can just bring a spare tire and off into the sunset they will drive

A boot will cost more than the other options but probably the best bet. Those suckers don't come off easy :)

If there is at least 1 tree of any size, back the tractor up to is and put the bucket face down all the way. Using a simple kill switch method as mentioned in above posts so it won't start, a simple tow truck won't be able to just take it away with the bucket face down.

I can't recall the manufacturers name right now but a company makes a steering cylinder lock. After parking, the operator turns the steering wheel to one side so the lock goes over the long portion of the rod. Makes it especially difficult to steal because they can't just winch it on a trailer with the wheels turned to the side. Fairly common item on construction sites.
