Equipmet storage in hot shed

I would check the labels of any pesticides that are to be stored without climate control. Many have recommendations for minimum and/or maximum storage temperatures; e.g., >32, < 100.

Personally, I like a hot shed. Drives out the moisture that causes stuff to rust and rot.

I'm concerned with the chemicals that may have a max-min temperature check on their label if such applies.

Is that cupola for looks, or does it vent?

If you already have gable vents, one thing that will really help is to put some additional vents in the walls down low. I used to work in a factory that made sheds like that, and delivered and installed dozens of them (we used a Jerr-Dan roll-back car hauler). When I build my own shed at my last house, I had gable vents, but also put a couple vents in the front and back walls, thinking it would help cool air come in and improve airflow out the upper gable vents. That shed never got stifling hot, and one time I was in there I noticed cobwebs wiggling in the breeze from airflow coming in the lower vents. So they did seem to help.

I never had issues with equipment (Deere riding mower, Honda push mower, wed whacker, power washer, etc) or fuel or chemicals due to heat. At least not any issues that I could attribute to heat.

open the roof to the cupola and use gable vents. You will need nothing else.

remember your gear sits in the direct sun without the shed, can't get much hotter than that.

Have to disagree with that. Air expands and rises as it's heated. When the equipment is out in the open, the surface heat from absorbed direct solar energy can be dissipated by convection as the surrounding air rises and creates circulation around it. In an airtight shed, the air surrounding the equipment is trapped. If the shed has windows, the effect is magnified, much as the temperature in a closed vehicle on a sunny day can exceed ambient temperature by 50+ degrees.

The pole barn that my tractor sits in gets pretty hot on sunny summer days (80 degrees outside = 95-100 degrees inside). The only thing I worry about is the tractors batteries - one on the Kubota CUT and one on a garden tractor. If I know that I am not going to be using them and a long stretch of hot weather is coming, I will bring the batteries into the basement. It's not a safety thing, I'm just trying to extend the lifetime of the battery. I'll do the same when it comes to winter cold.

That's a mighty fine looking shed ...as for the heat, I dunno.

Good idea to use stable in the fuel because extreme heat does something to modern gas/alcohol blends...

...that's what a person in the know passed on to me anyway.
