Son picked up an old Concord RV .. He was going to restore it but then decided to make a car carrier out of it to haul around his BMW.. cc1.jpgcc3.jpg

My family had a Concord MH when I was a kid. Looked very similar. Even remember the little vents down by the feet! Looks like your off to a good start.

That actually could end up being a really cool retro looking car hauler if done right. Keep us posted on the progress.

Cool project. Seen that done with old school busses, the motor home chassis will be cooler yet. What power plant/drive train does it have?

Ok have the week off had a cold since Sunday.. Son is going to be working on making the cab water tight and bracing the insides where the back was put back on.. I'm working on the rear bed.. Thinking to make it a tilt bed with a beaver tail. I have a 4" bore by 24" stroke hydraulic cylinder but the hinge point has been driving me crazy.. Any suggestion's ???

Naturally, that old Concord looks very familiar. What year model is it? In 1973, I bought a new 18' Winnebago Brave that had a 318 cu. in. Dodge Industrial engine, and of course 3 speed automatic with the shift lever in the dash.

I think it's a 72 year son has the old reg. Figured out the hinges for the frame tilt just need to pick up some steel before the weekend ..
Also thinking about making it a "Woody" to help with the problem with patching all the holes..
