About 360 hours in 3 years. Sometimes it sets for a couple of weeks, sometimes I will use it several times a week. Just depends on what needs doing.

I use my LS about 75 hours a year ---- Whoever settles up after I'm gone can sell it. It won't be me.

I use the 345 about 120 hours a year. Same goes there ---- I plan to use it till the end.

Can you afford it? Is that five hours of bush hogging something you will be doing year after year? Do you enjoy doing things yourself and being independent? And last and maybe most importantly, do you have somewhere to store it where it will be protected from the sun and rain? (Cold really won't hurt it, even norther canada cold, as long as you have the proper oil and a block heater plugged in before starting it)

If you answered yes to a bunch of those then it is probably a good purchase.

I probably use a tractor or mower 1000 hours a year. I use a tractor or mower at least 3 times a week.

How often do I use my tractor? Everytime I need it. I've had it for 5 years and have 110 hours on it. But every one of those hours has saved my back. Also, most of the things I've used it for required a tractor so if I didn't own one I would have had to rent one or hire someone with one to do the job. I can afford it so I wouldn't be without it.

Short answer:
Not enough

Long answer:
First of all what's an "hour"?
On my B7610 I can work with it all day and barely put an hour on it. Hauling stuff, digging out snow, pulling stuff around often requires me to get off and hook up chains etc. And it only counts an hour when the engine is at full PTO speed. So sometimes I may spend 15 minutes WITH it but it's off because I'm swapping implements or lubricating. Or move snow with my FEL at about 1200 RPM.

Before I retired in 2011 I was lucky to get 2 hours of PTO time a year. In the last month I've gotten about 12 hours, and 4 or 5 of that was with the backhoe. :) Tomorrow I plan on spending up to half an hour with it lubricating and cleaning then hop on and dig bamboo with the backhoe for an hour. In July I spent about 10 hours with my M4700.

I guess the real question for the OP boils down to "do you think a tractor is worth it".

I've spent about 33K for everything in my sig (EXCEPT the F350 but including the trailer) and especially when it comes to using the backhoe, chipper, tiller I know I'm getting value for my dollar. Especially when my son runs the tractor for me :)

Every day. No horse manure today but I needed to move an entire set of 60's era Encyclopedias into the shop loft so I put them in a container on top of the FEL bucket and raised them up to the loft. Beats carrying them up the stairs. When I was building this place, 200 hours in a year was the average. Now about a hundred. 3854.7 hours at the moment.

Are you sure? I think the meter reads if the key is on even with the engine off.

I have 2 B3030HST Kubotas
1 a 2006 has 475 hours with a MMM only.
The other a 2011 has 392 hours with a FEL and MMM.
I use them to mowe 7 hrs every week and to do yard work, some times work with the FEL 2 or 3 hrs a week.
Enjoy every minute with them!

My meter only runs when engine is running it is cable driven.

165 Hours in a year and a half. Mostly fitting fields for vegetables and snow removal.

I have about 130 hours on it in the last 8 months since I bought it. I'm trying not to use it needlessly. The hours mount up fast.

50 hours on my b2650, was delivered Aug 8. Glad I got it everytime I use it and drive past the wheel barrow and shovel

As they old saying goes " You'll miss it the most when you need it"

You still have that $15000. Instead of the money being represented by ink on a piece of paper (statement) you get quarterly, it's represented by a useful piece of steel in your shed.
It's not a (consumable) purchase like a movie ticket, or groceries, or a tank of gas, etc.. that once you buy it and use it the money/value is gone (poof!)
If anything, compare any depreciation with the value of using it whenever you want to.

About 60 hours a year for me. You'll use it this winter when you don't have to shovel that white stuff. That's the main purpose for mine.
As time goes by you'll find more uses for your tractor.

Why do you want two tractors of the same make/model? It's not like a B3030 is a collectible. Just curious.
