I bought the SS version .. You have to have the gun shipped to an FFL dealer which will charge you to do the paper work... 199.99 +25.00-35.00 for paper work here
I didn't know the black had a rebate.. good deal if U want black

My FFL charges me $20 for transfers so I can't complain.

PSA is evil, they send me email ads that make me part with way too much $$$ ;)

They have a 9mm and .40 M&P Shield on sale for $319.99

I've got the HP 9mm and so does my nephew. AFAIK, his has never failed to cycle and neither has mine. For a pistol that is carried ariound the farm in a Gator, that makes the HP a darn good value in my book.

Is it a pistol you'd take to a shooting competition? Doubtful, but then I don't think you'd want to beat up a high dollar match grade firearm by carrying it around under the seat of your UTV!

But it shoots remarkably well for a pistol costing under $200, and I can buy a **** of a lot of ammo for what I saved.....or allow me to afford another couple of "toys"!

I own a Hi Point 45acp. I paid $100 bucks for it from a guy offloading stuff during a divorce. I didn't have high hopes, but it exceeded the hopes I had. It's heavy and ugly, but it's pretty accurate and NEVER jams. For a $100 gun, it is really dependable. It feeds any brand/type of ammo flawlessly. It rides in my truck all the time. Never comes out except for hunting season when it rides on the fourwheeler with me as backup. I'd buy another one for sure. It's nothing to show off, but it goes bang every single time. If 10 rounds of 230 grain hollow points won't get me out of a pinch, then... I must deserve it.

I've had one of their early 9mm for 20 years+ and it will go bang every time. It has the styling of a brick, but it is dependable like a fine-tuned engine. Makes a great tool box gun.

People seem to really like their carbines. The handguns have a rep for working, if your looking for cheap gun. Not a concealed carry gun.

A Hi point is about the biggest POS made. If you are looking for a "good" gun keep looking. That is like looking for a "good" tool at Harbor Freight. About the only good use for a Hi point is to shoot your ( insert word here ) and throw it in a lake.

My dad has one in 9mm. He says it works well all the time. It represents a good value for what he needs.
