That is indeed impressive. How much of the mechanism did you make yourself, RUSTY? The grapple
itself looks like a Valby.

Although I wanted to make a grapple, I did not. The rotator, cylinders & winch were also "store bought". I wish I knew how to use a computer for modeling, my 'puter skill limit me to just talking with other knuckle heads like me on forums  The grapple is not very complicated to build, but I would have had to cut it out of wood or cardboard to make it (hopefully) work. The grapples bypass each other and will pinch down to about 4". I did build all the rest. It was a long snowy winter last year! The grapple is a Nokka I think from Hackmet forrestry, and thanks for the .

My neighbor logged of his property a couple of years ago. He's letting me get all the tops I want, that were left behind. Some are getting quite seasoned, but they'll burn.

This is my first year bucking with the grapple, what pleasure!

"Doug the Dog" is helping out too...

Looks like you have 2 well trained helpers. Nice job. :). As always work smarter not harder. And that grapple and splitter shows you do.

Thanks.

They are good helpers, especially since I got rid of the maul, sledge and wedge...

I do this same thing with my grapple. Even with bigger logs. This is a prime example of why using boat trim hydraulics is a dumb idea.

The light bar is form Amazon Eyourlife Led Light Bar Off Road Led Light Bar 17" Led Work Light Bar Cree 108W
The clamps are LAMPHUS Cruizer Horizontal Bar Clamp Mounting Kit 1"/ 1.5"/ 1.75", almost half the cost of the light bar, but they do work well.
I have it wired into the high beam circuit, no extra switch required.
