who likes/loves plowing with trucks? ?

Kinda curious on this. Have seen most people recommend using tractors or only run tractors. I understand that not everyone has plow trucks. I personally like plowing with trucks. I actually got 1 plowing job and am a back up plowers for a busdy when he goes out of the country for Christmas and I can't even fully drive yet.
So who likes there trucks??

Twas a beast to back up with

More than one driver took out a parking light pole with it

One guy backed over a car that came up too close behind him and into into his blind spot

You got to love those ford. Always a beast. 7.3 or 6.0

My 83 Chevy, chained on all for corners, moves snow much faster than my 4x4 Yanmar 276D, chained in the rear. No comparison.

Rear blade for my tractor was far less expensive than a blade for my truck so that's what I use. I suspect I'd enjoy it more in the truck though (heat, radio etc.).

I personally have never had stacking problems through these hard Michigan withers last few years while plowing. One lot I has the corner pile 10'+ tall stacking it. Although my truck (duramax) does give good torque if not spinning

I had a real nice plow (RT3 Boss) and I like my snowblower/tractor better.
Takes me 1/2 the time.

My banks would get higher than the plow, and I'd just go over and over and over and over the same spot. Snow would always fall out of one side. Also it would go up the bank, then collapse back down. VERY frustrating.
Driveway is like 800' long. Several places to angle off and put snow, but other areas it isn't possible.

I drive out my driveway and back in at about 3mph+ Then some cleanup by the garage and turnaround area. DONE.

I used to put a snowmobile suit on, sit on a hot seat, fight with the tractor (Farmall H) cranking over in sub zero, taking an hour or so plus to plow all the while sniffing fumes from the exhaust.......

Now I attach my plow to the truck in my attached garage, takes about two minutes. Plow sitting inside a heated cab wearing a tee shirt and sipping coffee and working my Western three way plow control. Takes about twenty to thirty minutes depending on the amount of snow. I'm not looking back!

Plowing with pickups is fun, but plowing with a dump truck one way and a wing is funner. You don't need to worry about where to put the snow, when it comes off the one way at 30mph it really flies.
