Snow To fill or not to fill

You might check with your dealer, they can fill tires easily as they do it all the time. As far a fluids go, there is Rim Guard (beet juice) probably the most expensive. Then you can use RV anti-freeze (non-toxic) cut with water to whatever freeze point you need. Or you can use windshield washer fluid which is available in 55 gallon drums.

I would stay away from calcium chloride solution though. Here is S. Texas, where freezing is not an issue, we can use straight water or straight water with maybe 20-25% RV anti-freeze.

I have filled my own tires using a garden hose and the adapter that James mentioned. The adapter is about $10 at Tractor Supply.

I recommend filled tires over a weight box as nothing to hook up on tractor.

Good luck!

So this one is built by a shop in Florida. El Chappa. Peterbilt road tractor 425 Cat and a 10 speed.

built a KW a while back 3 axle all wheel steer for a guy to haul his Grand Teton 5th wheel.

Started another KW similar to the Avatar but it has a long way to go. Front suspension moved way forward (3 ft) Engine and cab shift rear ward and hood stretched. Looking at a 50s stepside bed and refurbing a Cummins motor. Trans is a autoshift 10speed, which is pretty slow shifting compared to a jake brake and a hand shaker.

Tire most like will not have to be filled. :)

Picture this next build as a 34 Ford F1 on steroids with a stretched hood. To get more of a Rod look I am going to replace the front wheels with 19.5 vs the std 22.5s. And a set of 24.5 super singles out back. I the middle of building a new place and this project is on the back burner. Biggest issue is not the build but the size and weight of the components. The Cummins motor is a 600hp model with little under a million miles. I will have to fab a set of long 34style fenders and running boards a then figure out how to fender the rear tires.

I have a set of late 20 headlights 10 inch across that I want to use and not sure if the top will be chopped. Google El Choppahead and there are some insane U tube vid out there.

Initial cost was cheap $5K for a running tractor.... now where it goes from here????$$$$

But I still do not recommend filling the tires on a SCUT.
