Merry New Year to all.

The good bad & the ugly.

Beer fridge is dying - washing machine is dead.
Went Habit store\re & got fridge for $200, Looks & seems to work well. ( it was plugged in.)
Washer looks real good, top loader. Needs new drain hose, will also get new hook up hoses.
Neighbor says he will help me unload & put away.
Thinking about moving my little fridge to the back deck. Got to keep my beer close at hand.:D:licking:

I want a metal Potato Basket. Not made any more ??? Neighbor has some old ones hanging on his porch, said I could have them.

Well pardners have gone nuts, ( They Voted & I am impressed. ) Going from a Less than $2,500 up to $5,000.
Have letter written, but as normal printer has died. Telling them if they go over $4,000 I will not participate.
Tank could have a better patch. Found out JB-Weld is the weakest of all metal filled glue. ( U-Tube Video )

***** of the west , does not want me near the well. No one else here knows how the well woks, so thy will have fun(?) learning. They also don't know that they can not even cut off my water. Ihad agoo use for old tank. Bitches brother said I could ( like he had a big say). ***** says she out voted him & she want tank. Just bieing nasty as usual.

The fun around this place goes on & on.

Happy New Year to you also !
I guess I missed something somewhere - Are your "well pardners" (how many would be on the well?) talking about a new well ?
I didn't know you put a new tank on the well ??
Who is the ***** ? What makes her think she has a claim on the old tank ?
I have used and seen JB Weld used on many things (it works for me)!
I guess I'm trying to catch up on the thread - I must have missed some entries.
I did a new well pump and pressure tank for an 89 year old neighbor a couple years ago - it pumps from a spring fed cistern.

THERE are 4 properties on the well.
***** collects for the water bill. Thinks it makes her in charge of the well. She was always last to pay water bill when Harvey did the collecting & bitched about it.
I did not speak to her until the problems came up, about 11 years. She use to ***** to Harvey about me ( after I got the work needed done.)
Her brother who bought criminal #1s place backs her up on all things. Maybe he is afraid of her wrath???

Store clerks in the area, would fin something else to do when she came to check out. The dollar store even banned her from coming in. Very well liked.:laughing:

JB-Weld does not like cold or moisture. Locktite Metal is the strongest None like moisture.

High dollar option is for new tank construction & instillation. Also up grade wiring. 220V 4 Wire system. Current wiring has worked well for over 25 years. Well pewople are not electricians but still want $70 a hour for the wiring.

4 Inches of rain, it only took 4 days for it to happen. Come spring & this place will be jungle.

Moving right along.
Bought roll of string reinforced plastic for my back deck. From O-Boy ( when it came ) to O Crap. It is not clear at all, milky or frosted. Can only see colors through it.
But it does block the cold wind & I can use the little deck. Found clear plastic sheet on Home Depot web site, May get a roll of that & replace the milky stuff in some places. Things went pretty well. "I didn't fall off the ladder putting it up.:D When it comes to cold I am pretty much of a woos these days.

Went to town today. My most favorite thing to do. "NOT" I hate going to town & even being there. Got a new printer $35, no matter how good a printer I buy they rarely last over 2 years.

The well is up & working, so far so good. No one has ask me for $$ yet.
Have a sort of mean plan, to let Marvin pay my share of well bill.
The only way he can get to his place is an easement (16ft.) across my place. A legal fence will come to about the middle of his gate & will narrow down the current drive way to almost zero at the north end. He can get about 100 feet out of his place. A little work with a big tractor or bulldozer & he can clear the easement.

The fun :))) never ends around this place.

More later - Maybe even some funny stories.

I'm glad everyone around here has their own well or water system.
***** must be extra special to get banned from Dollar Store  !
Does your new tank go underground or is it in a building ?

I have my own well and a cistern underground for extra volume capacity. Then a pressure tank in my heated shop.

Not much exciting going on around here.

Big new improvement is a "window to my world". Found an old hunk of clear plastic, that use to cover my drafting board. Its about 38"x72", a little scratched up & sort of dirty. Sprayed it down with hose & will use a little soap & water as well.

Built a frame to fit the west side of the deck. Rough carpentry at its worst. But I got it done. Now I can see the birds & things again. Hope it lasts a while. Should have a roll of the stuff, but it has gone into hiding.

That horse is a jumper, he likes to jump.

Uncle Dale showed up with a mule named "Blue Goose", he was tall & built like a thoroughbred. Corral at KP was 6 feet high. Every morning someone had to go find Blue Goose. He would leave the corral at night.

OK back to the horse. Big tall horse, black as night. Don' remember who's horse he was. There was another guy about my age there. He knew the horse & told me about his jumping ability. We decided to go for a ride & I got the jumper. Riding along & across the trail was a big pine tree , about 5 ft in diameter. There was a nice trail around the tree. About the time I was going to turn him, he decided to jump & jump hr did. Now if you have ever just been sitting back in the saddle, all relaxed you are not ready for a horse to jump. When landed it threw me foreword in the saddle. Now on the front of the saddle is a "horn". Where the horn hit me, had it been just a bit harder, I'd still be talking in a high pitched voice. :D

Wind blew like he!! here a day or so ago. I hate wind fine place to live for some one that does not like wind

About the only way I will ever get my own well is to win the lottery. Total cost of a well around here is Arund $25,000. 320' to water 20' more to set pump & 20' more fore draw down.

My friend "Danny" a month or 2 ago.. Cousin set me an email about it.

I think faster than I type. Neither is very fast.
Left out the word "Died" when writing about Danny.

I do a lot of carping here & will probably do a lot more. But in fact I am pretty lucky in many ways.
Basic health is pretty darn good when all is considered. Back pain, leg cramps, & a little trouble sleeping.
No heart trouble, diabetes, or other real medical problems.
Not on any prescribed medicine. Most of the time Advil takes care of my problems.
Have most of my hair, just not curly any more.
Need to gain weight, instead of loosing pounds. Skinny people live longer. ( so I'm told. )
Everything I have is paid for.
Do as I please most of the time. Well the 3 mutts boss me around a little.

OH well I will get back to complaining later. :D

Sammy got Killed.
The area around "Fry AZ" (Now named Sierra Vista.) Was open range & several ranches got together, had a round up & were branding the calves.
Sammy go kicked in the forehead & it caved in about 1/2". His dad & the others decided he was dead. No point in stopping since he is dead, lets finish up & then take Sammy to town. Tossed him in the back of a pick up & covered him up with a tarp.

No real road out to the corral & then a few miles of bumpy dirt rod.

They got to town about dark & hunted up the doctor. After a long time the doc finally came out with the news.

SAMMY AIN'T DEAD.

Several months later I ran into him in a bar in Benson. That hoof print in his forehead was still depressed & very visible.
