I needed room for my kids to stand so I removed the plastic cover/cup holder from beside the seat. But the lever attachment point for the other model types does not leave a nice flat area.
So I made up a cover plate.

So now one of them can stand next to me without twisting an ankle.
It's not 100% flat as one of the lever mounts stick up about 1/4 inch.

I like what you've done! I may steal your toolbox idea.

Howdy neighbor. Saw you were in Calhan in a different thread & followed it here. I'm up in Parker, have a friend who lived out in Calhan for a couple years. Is the XR4046HC turboed? Does it work well here in Colorado altitude?

I've got a Kubota L3200 that I was happy with until blowing/plowing snow this year. Looking to upgrade to something with a cab & looking around a bit.

Added Hydro top link

IMG_20160226_222140046.jpgIMG_20160226_222148819.jpg
I added a hydraulic top link to the girl tonight it took about an hour to Teflon seal, tighten all the fittings, and route the hoses.
Total cost $244.64 shipped to my house from Surplus Center
I have not tested it out yet but so far it looks to work pretty good.

Here are the parts I used

1 x 2X8.25X1.18 CAT I HYD DA TOP LINK CYL Item Number: 9-7682-08

2 x 3/8" X 30" 3/8 NPTM X 3/8 NPTM 4800 PSI HYD HOSE Item Number: 918-3230

2 x 3/8 NPTF x 3/8 NPTF 90 SWIVEL Item Number: 9-1502-6-6

2 x 1/2" NPT COUPLER MALE TIP S71-4 Item Number: 928-AA

2 x 1/2 NPT TO 3/8 NPT BUSHING Item Number: 9-5406-8-6

If I was to do again I might have added 4" to one of the lines.

Bumped up the hydraulic bypass pressure just now..... that was easy.
All it took was a pressure gauge, 19mm wrench, 5mm allen / hex key.
I will not say what it was set at or what I set it to but I only bumped it up 100-120psi. Took about 1/2 turn.
Reason for doing this is I lifted a pallet with 24 stall mats and all it would do was curl no lift and I had it chained directly under the bucket. Earlier that day I was lifting a car body and it would only go about 3 ft, with assistance (manual lifting) it would lift the rest of the way.

Re: Added Hydro top link

Just out of curiosity, why would you only add 4" to one of the hoses and not the other? From the pictures to me it looks like the ports are all close enough that if you thought one was short the other would be to.

Also, did you think of adding a set of flow restrictors? If so, why did you skip them?

I was going to make nearly the exact same purchase here shortly and want to make sure I didn't overlook something.

Thanks,
Nelson

Only reason for the extra 4" is to make up for the additional radius that the outer hose has to take.
With this cylinder I see no need for flow restrictors. I'm not sure if its the check valve that helps but it does not move excessively fast.

Perfect. I look forward to hearing how it works out once you get some seat time with it.

*edit* Couldn't wait. Ordered the parts. Now... You going to do a side link?
