I do not know about the rest of you, but I hate the chore of greasing equipment.
Even more I hate every year or two getting the grease gun out and it seems like it bites the dust.
I do not know if it is me or just the nature of the beast.

Anyway, Monday night I went to grease the tractor, 2 zerks done and it quit pumping.
I figured it may be out of grease, but no that's not it....
Just seems like another failed grease gun.

So I stewed about it all day yesterday.
I have been thinking about a air powered or battery powered grease gun for a few years now, since it seems like I need 3 arms and 4 hands to grease most things.

I went on line and was reading about the Dewalt 18 v unit today, and only had 3 low reviews and like 150 very high reviews.

I stopped at Rural King on my way home and picked one up.

Dang is it a WHOLE LOT BETTER way to grease a tractor!

Now if it lasts longer the 2-3 years......

I did the same thing over a year ago....bought w/o battery on sale, felt it was a good deal.

I will never go back to a hand pump one. Makes the task easier....greasing is still a pita due to getting to the zerks.

Nothing wrong with making it easier and fun to boot. Now you will be wanting to use it everyday, be careful you don't burn it up with grease...LOL

I went a different direction.

I don't have problems changing out tubes, and it was even easier on the Dewalt than on the hand pump guns
For half the money I think the Dewalt is a better way for me to go, cheaper and the battery does the pumping.
It was one of the sweetest results from a toy I have bought in like forever!

I've had similar issues. I own 5 grease guns (1 air operated), this last Christmas I finally allowed myself to purchase a DW 20V grease gun (and I've been using the Lock N'Lube for a while). Now I just need 2 arms and 2 hands - the way greasing always should have been. I've been wasting my time for years.... no more.

I think I looked at these once, and went holy crap when I saw the price.

I have used it on my tractor one time for a full grease job.
As far as I am concerned, best money I have ever spent on a grease gun
Easy, it unplugged at least 2 zerks I knew was plugged, and I enjoyed myself the whole time I was greasing
worth every freaking penny as far as I am concerned

Anything that makes a normally frustrating task fun, its like paying for a movie
:D
