Congratulations, nothing beats some acreage in the country, it's getting harder and harder to come by and more expensive as well.

I'm jealous! (Grew up in the UP)

The UP is awesome. I've had my eye on this property for a while, and the timing just worked out well for us.

Awesome, that's God's country up there. Enjoy!

In addition to the pear orchard it looks like you have some decent size sugar maple trees too....nice!

Congratulations. Looks like it has the right mix of open fields and woods. Pear orchard seems to be maintained, that might be a source of some revenue with the right care.

Really nice! I'm happy for you. Are you planning on eventually moving there? Those woods might have some nice whitetail hunting. Maybe add a food plot in the NE corner of the southern 40? Antway you go, I bet you will get a lot of enjoyment from that ground. Congratulations.

Northern lower.

I own almost 47 near Big Rapids, just for hunting, all hard wood, on rolling land in Mecosta Township bordered by the Mainstee national Forest. I'll stay living down here. it's my hunting retreat. You can keep the big snows up there.

We do get quite a bit, especially being so close to Lake Michigan. I do like to ski and snowshoe though, and there's nothing like a good fire and cup of coffee when the wind is howling.

We live just a few miles from there, so no houses in the near future. My kids might want to some day though, so who knows. The owner says there are lots of deer so I'm glad about that. Just curious, why do you suggest a food plot in that location?
