Well. That confirms (for me) the value of older tractors without a computer.

Computer is the equivalent of planned obsolescence in my view.

See this a lot in California with high end expensive new cars as they age... the computer emission parts are simply no longer or are very expensive.

I wonder who bought it. There is a tractor museum in Colonial Hieghts Va. It has a very impressive collection of tractors.

I really enjoy old American made farm equipment... a testament to those that built them

So I guess it had only a drawbar? No 2 point or 3 point hitch? Pretty worthless tractor at the time.. I would like to own one now!:)

Looks like it had a 30's Ford bumper on it.

Nope, no 3 point hitch. We had 2 old Minnies on the farm that just had a drawbar. They were NOT worthless at all. They were for plowing (not just moldboarding but chisel plows, pulling one-way discs, offset discs, etc.), and at that job they excelled. By modern tractor standards, you simply would not believe the pulling power of those tractors, which was amazing. They earned their keep many, many times over. I've got thousands of hours of time driving those tractors. We farmed about 1,500 acres at that time, just so you don't get the impression that these were hobby farm tractors.

Our row crop tractors were an old A-C (can't remember the model) that I despised, and a Farmall 450, which I loved. The Farmall was used for planting and cultivating row crops. The old Allis was used mainly to pull a 2 row cotton stripper.
