How long did it take you to cut two 2x4's?

Blade had a single prior use. Print on the blade was readable but smudged from the prior use.

The board was cut sideways... meaning, I cut it along the 3 1/2" dimension verses 1 1/2 dimension. I did go slow because I didn't want to rip up what was behind the boards and needed to blade to finish parallel to the board so-as to not dig into what was behind.

So I went slower (and slower speed for better control)

Looks like there is a service shop about 60/90 minutes from my house. I work with a guy who works in that town. I'll be seeing him in about a week. I thought I'd go ahead & see if he'd drop it off to them (to save shipping) and I'll figure it out from there.

I go through there every now & then myself so it's not a terrible imposition to deliver verses ship.

Regarding the heat of summer....this was in my basement, generally the coldest room in my house since heat rises. External heat wasn't much of a factor if any.

The sawzall should be able to be used under any temperature, cold or hot. Take it out of the cabinet, put in the correct blade and then rip it to her. I have a Milwaukee Super Sawzall and many many times, or most times, I push as hard as hard as I can without breaking the blade. Milwaukees are good saws but there are good Milwaukees, better Milwaukees and best, like the Super Sawzall Milwaukee but cost a little more.

I had a carpenter friend come over to mark and cut discharge holes in the floor for the furnace. He was cutting with a Milwaukee and I was cutting with a Milwaukee. I could cut circles around him with my Milwaukee Super. I asked him why he was poking around, are you getting paid by the hour, and he didn't answer.

I would just get a Super Sawzall and be done with it.

Anyway, keep us posted on the outcome.

Had a similar issue with a Milwaukee Abrasive chop saw . First use , was cutting 1/8" angle , never even got down to the flat part of the angle . ( 1.5" x 1.5" angle ) . Have used those type saws for quite a few years , know not to push them . My thought was WTH !!!
Took it apart and the brush mounting was jacked up on 1 side . It had put so much pressure on that brush , that the brush was ground off and it had ripped chunks of the contact metal off the end of the Stator , ( believed that is what it is called ) .
Have a repair facility 20 minutes away , BUT as was told to Me , I pay for repair , then repair is submited to Milwaukee and then They determine if they will pay you back .:ashamed:

Pound sand Milwaukee . Bought parts from a online place , repaired myself for something like $90 which included shipping .

This is the place I have used for parts on electrical tools before : OEM Replacement parts for Tools, Appliances, Consumer Electronics and more | eReplacement Parts

I've got a thirty year old Milwaukee sawzall been used real hard dropped off roofs thrown in dirt rained on. Still works great. Been waiting for it to die so could get a cordless. Was even stolen once but sheriff got it back before I could replace it. Finally gave up waiting and got the cordless makita. Great saws both of them.

I always thought it was a heavier duty saw but didn't know.

Just looked and it is a Super Sawzall (with the switch to make it orbital)

I was looking for the amp rating when I saw this. Never did see the amp rating (tiny print, I presume it's there)

I am shifting to cordless. Will give the Milwaukee sawzall to my nephew who is a residential building contractor. Already gave him my Milwaukee 1/2" drill when I got a Makita cordless drill. And I gave him my Bosch wormdrive when I got a Makita cordless skilsaw.

If for some reason I need a super duty tool I can always borrow them back. In the meantime it does me good to see him using them daily in his business rather than sitting in the bottom of my job box.

That is nice!
