I'd be happy with a remote lockable tailgate that works along with the doors. Also would like the higher models to come in the Supercab version instead of the 4-doors.

A body & frame that doesn't rust to **** in 10 years. Fiberglass, Plastic, Aluminum, Stainless! Pick one that doesn't corrode.

Do away with leaf springs and go to auto leveling air bags like a semi.

More up fitter switches like fords have.

Integrated backup and bed cameras for hooking up bumper pull and gooseneck hitches.

Bright rear facing lights with a switch for off and on.

Easier fuel filter changes on diesels. All of them are a pain. Why not a canister style under the truck that is easy to change.

Air ride seats.

Don't worry the cameras are on the way.

I want...

6 speed manual transmission
Manual locking hubs.
Shift lever 4wd.
Center differential lock.
Cable lockers for each axle.
Air bags on the rear with compressor integrated in controls.
Ac outlet in the rear bed for my arb refrigerator.

I wish some company would make this.

You can buy my truck for some really big bucks. It has all that stuff but it's a five speed and I electrified both Ox lockers. I don't have the bags but the compressed air system is on it already. Only a DC outlet in the bed but I have an inverter I'll throw in the deal. No center diff lock but none needed since it's part time 4WD but it has a crawl box for uber low gears for going real slow or pulling a few stumps maybe.

Don't worry the cameras are on the way.

I offered to help a guy hook a square baler to his GM pickup a few weeks back. He declined because he had a camera focused on the trailer hitch. I did adjust the jack height while he backed in.

My new Chevy 2500 has this feature.

How about a real bumper. I had to replace front bumper on 2004 F350. Wrighed like 5 pounds. Made of recycled beer cans. The new $60,000 f350 i saw on lot had plastic bumper....really?
As for dodge. They need a built in tow truck so it can tow itself to shop.
My 1994 dodge cummins is a real POS.
Ive spent more in repairs than ive spent on the truck. But my wifie wont let me squash it.

1. Our ~2003 Silverado headlamps featured a hinge to swing the assembly out and easily replace bulbs. 2009 GMC requires ET's hands to replace bulbs. Our local mechanic bought a jig to replace. He blames it on slightly cheaper manufacturing costs.
2. 2009 GMC free-wheels down slopes (to gain 0.01 MPG) resulting in quicker brake replacements. Did other makers follow suit?
