Kioti NX6010HST and others..
Just a quick hello from the Forest of Bowland in rural Lancashire.
We're a farm/smallholding of about 65 hectares (around 160 acres) - beef cattle, a few sheep and some horses too.
We have a 1999 Steyr M9094 (full size 94hp 4WD tractor - often sold as a Case CS94 since the takeover of Steyr by CNH) and a new 2016 Kioti NX6010 HST.
Farming isn't the full time job - but tries to be!
We are also part of B4RN - Broadband for the Rural North, a non-profit community organisation putting in an ultrafast fibre optic network direct to homes in a remote and rural area. Just search for B4RN on the web.
There are not may sites in the UK that cover the compact tractors - including our Kioti.
Kioti have a bit of a "variable" history here in the UK, but think they are now finally being "sorted out" by the big Dutch concern - Pols, who seem to be investing in making Kioti more of a success.
The brand is still quite new and the tractors quite rare here.
After just 2 weeks of owning our NX6010 - our first impressions are reasonably good.

Welcome to TBN from Virginia. Sounds like B4RN is a great project, Thanks for sharing, reminds me of the way communities in the states put up phone lines back in the day. Ed

Thanks... we call it JFDI...
Just F:censored: Dig It - referring less than politely to the fact we mole plough in the 16mm (5/8") conduit and then blow the fibre through using compressed air..
Our monopoly national telecom provider (BT) is a disgrace sadly - having taken 」m's from government for providing rural services (failed!), but instead paying executives huge multi million bonuses..
Sorry - I've started to rant!!
Still we have over 2500 properties now connected at 1Gbps symmetrical - so it works!! :)

To the TBN forum mudplugger. Glad you joined with us. Having put in some fiber networks in industrial applications, I whish we had more of it over here. I live in a rural area and we get our internet the old fashion way, telephone lines (DSL), at 1.5Mbps.

Thanks mdorange..
RE: 1.5Mbps - Ouch!, but that line speed is still 3 times faster than our best service from BT!!
This is what we get now..

Thanks Avondale. We're pleased when the majority of tourists zip past up to the Lake District and leave us in peace... ;-)
This is what they are missing
