You would think that a 2500 HD. With the 6.0 I think 4:11 in the rear would not have to struggle with the load. Maybe I need a diesel and beef up under the truck.

I had a BIL with a 1500 and had a truck camper on it. He got some air bags and installed them and they worked out pretty well.

Your truck seems heavy duty enough to haul that. You just need a little fine tuning like tractor placement on the trailer, air bags or stiffer springs. Air bags can be adjusted for height.

I had an older 3/4 ford and the previous owner put 1 ton springs under it and it was terrible to ride it because it was so rough.

How heavy is that 2 bottom plow in the bead of the truck? Is there anything else in the truck that adds to the payload? Is the toolbox in the bed full too?

I'll tell you what Moss there a landfill with a scale about 15 min. Away I will load it up and will get the real weight of tractor and trailer.

I wouldn't drive that loaded anywhere without reducing the weigh on the truck by a lot. Remove that implement from the back for sure, reposition the tractor further back so the rear tires are about centered on your trailer axles and you will be more better even if not legal.

If you do sell the trailer, get a 12k IMO. 22'-24' would be about ideal for a 50HP tractor + loader and implement.

My 51HP with loader and bushhog is every bit of 23' in length.

If you do tow like that, watch the corners of that bucket, looks like they would crash into a tail light without much issue.

You have ~8000# of tractor, you need a trailer to handle at least that. Most 10k trailers, thats right on the bubble.
