Yes, that free "annual wellness check" is a joke. They do and EKG though, that is about the only real test they administer.

Real rain today. ran water within about 15 minutes. Just didn't last as long enough to really really clean everything up
Lots of noise/ Power went off a few times. just for a few seconds each, Shut down TV & inter net.
Called VA & have an appointment Sept 22 at 8 AM.
Sure appreciate if you folks would remind me a day or to in advance.
Still no Amazon refund $$ sure could use them. Do have enough $$ for beer, bird seeds. cheese & milk.
Plenty of dog seeds to last until pay day.
Another day not in a good mood, itches, lack of sleep & so on.
Bobby & I had tomalies this AM. bony & dog off on safari. She also got a can of cat food. To me it stinks, but dogs love it.
Tomorrow off to the store, beer, bird seeds, milk & cheese.

You have some sort of computer (at least to get to TBN), if it has a calendar program, make an entry for your VA appt with a reminder at least 3 days ahead of time, maybe a week to help you remember.

Have been hesitant to post. In a pretty good mood & want to stay that way.
When things start to go wrong they never seem to stop.
But some things on a happier note.
Used the old wrecker to pull a horse out of a cattle guard.
A little farther out someone had dumped some kittens down an old mine shaft, Got a bucket & long rope, put some tuna in the bucket & pulled them out
If there were such a thing as U-tube in those days they might have been hits.
Stopped a car loaded with black folks 1 night. By loaded they were 2 deep in the back seat. Had them park in front of city hall where there was a bright light. & by drunk the driver was all over the road.
Pretty soon they were trying to sneak out of town with the lights out. had them go back. One of them says I am predigest. told him if that's what he though I would put them all in jail.
My friend Danny got the job of grading the Gleason road, he was found passed out under the grader & some empty beer bottles,
he was taken to the HP in Tucson & they found nothing wrong with him
happened again, & back to HP, same story, sent him to a shrink, see if he was nuts. Nope sane.
Finally a
Dr from St Louis saw him & checked how thick his blood was. Sure enough real thick. he brand was Budweiser & in those days it had some kind of a radio active thing in it. No more Bud & he was fine.
A friend about 400 yards away got bit twice by a kissing bug. made him really sick He took himself to the HP. Would have been better is he'd had someone talk him. But better now after some pills.
At least that is 1 bug I don't have.
Got my refund from Amazon & that was the start of the joy. But soon it started going down hill/
may elaborate on that some day & maybe not.

Hi folks.
I'm fine just a lot going on & I haven't wanted to talk to anyone or post.
Not realty in a bad mood, just me. Have to go to town today & take care of some business.
As you know that is not some thing i like or want to do.
last evening went out to feed the birds, make sure the doges had enough seeds & have a beer.
No luck bony E Riley found a rattle snake. Didn't have a good tool to get him with. he got under the ramp, & stayed until long after I gave up & went & laid down.
More later, wish typing would improve & back would settle down.

'bad' backs are a difficult thing. luckily mine comes and goes. Looking for wood to knock on as it has been awhile since mine 'went out'. Looks like it is heating up in your 'neck of the woods' or whatever you call it. I don't mind heat but there better be lots of water to cool off in. We have been getting good use of our cheap 'misters' that I mounted on the eaves around the deck. Highly recommend.

There are good days, bad days & frustrating days.
Yesterday was a good day mostly. Would have been better if AC worked.
Got to credit union just before it opened. Tried to recover the $48, no luck.
OK take all the $$$ out of account, need to leave $5 in it. no problem.
Go to other credit union,, It opens an hour later. OK a pawn shop across parking lot. Sign says they buy guns & ammo. Don't wasn't to buy any just look. no they only buy, sell at another pawn shop. OK
CU finally open, new acc. Nope need SSI card, haven't had 1 is so long I can't even remember when.
Go ssi 1 hour+ of waiting, NO longer issue cards it will be mailed to me. How long will that take????
OK go to Wells Fargo & open new ACC, Goes real well, does not take too long, a little bs'ing just for fun
It is in the Fry's market, makes it Easy. Instantly get CC& debit card, checks. WOW this is going really good.
now need to move SSi deposit to them.
Get new ssi PH # call lady tries to help me, last 2 # on ACC don't match. Call CU get new # Call ssi, New # is in CA, OK. #'sill don't match. Can barely understand the lady, Not from USA???Lots of questions 15 Minutes later, Got it done.
Ask about limit on new CC $2,000 boy are the dumb.:laughing:
Check credit score a few months ago 000-- Now 6.46 how ???
Tomorrow off to town, my favorite thing. Get AC fixed Comfort at last, me a happy camper.:cool2:

We had done business with a local bank for a number of years and when economy took a hit in 2008 or so, our local bank was bought up by Chase. Then the fees started coming for everything. We also belong to a federal credit union, but no local branches. We like to have a local bank we can walk into and talk to someone when needed so opened account at local credit union. Took the money from Chase and put it in local credit union. Chase wanted to know why we were closing our accounts, we told them we valued our money and all their fees were taking that money from us. The manager had the attitude, "we are competitive with all the other banks". I told him xxxx credit union was local and did not have all the fees. I have some of my paycheck direct deposited in each credit union and we keep both active, except we don't have paper checks for the local one. I see no reason to have checkbooks from two banks.
I really dislike the power the banks have over us.
