You guys have all been great. I will make a second post with a list or might do it here.

Also adding R4 tires on it.

What is a float function?

Tree puller, I will have to look into that. I also need to find how a stump grinder works etc as I will have about 80 pines total to drop if we clear it.

No one has mentioned a defogger as an option. Is that a factory option or added after? We Fog up here constantly in our vehicles.

They did mention that they would fill the tires for me. Said it would help me a bit. Would it help for bouncing and the such? Wondering why I need or don't need it.

2 more questions for you guys. I know that the 3000 series are T4 now. How do they differ as they do not use Dpf if I understand it right. My Father in law is wanting to know as he has been telling me the fun with the Urea systems.

Secondly if anyone has a R4 tired 3000 series with a cab. Can you tell me the actual height to top of cab? What the brochures have said has been different than the dealer and I need to know if it will fit under my Carport.

They only have open air on he lot here so I cannot measure locally.

Thank you everyone again. This has been a vast help and I look forward to paying it forward.

Yes, mine has R4, it is the default order at my dealer for CUTs.

Just like the float function on your FEL, it allows equipment to follow the contour of the land.

Tree puller probably won't work all that well on a 3 Series if the trees are very big, I usually use ours on our M8540, but sometimes on a Kioti CK27 or my L5740.

Defoger is an option, my 5030 had the heater wires in the glass, the L5740 is a dealer add on.

My 3046 cab with R4 tires is 90'' at the highest point.

Perfect my Carport is 7ft 7 1/4 inch so it should fit under it!

We are looking at a 3046R on R4 tires. Would you buy it again or a different model? Also any suggestions on options for the model itself?

Yes I'd buy it again, the heat, and AC work great, Only have about 12 hours on it, but winter is on it's way up here in the north.
Got it early in 16 and only plowed snow once with it.

The first thing that tractor saw was 12+ inches of snowy driveway when it was dropped off by the dealer.

For us it is the pure heat in Louisiana. It's currently pricing at about $53,000 with options and no trailer.

That note will be killer but I am leaning towards it.

I hate to go back and read all the posts, but how often will you need a trailer? The reason I ask is we have several just sitting around, it's not uncommon to see trailer in my area grown up in weeds, never used. If needed I can rent an equipment trailer for $45 a day, no license fees, property taxes, new tires etc.

That's actually a great question. Little to never other than maintenance runs. If my family needs it, I can always use my father in laws trailer.

Trailers are a great piece of equipment to have as long as they belong to a friend that you can borrow & use their bigger truck to pull it with.
Then again, some of the situations they get you involved with makes you rethink that at times:confused3:
