Chainsaw brands, full time vs. part time.....

Well my annual cost for my 120CC Stihl 088 is down to about $100. Bought used with a 36" bar AND an Alaskan Mark II Chainsaw Mill for $450. But I'm NOT selling it.


But the "system"cost is going to rise because I HAVE to get a much bigger bar. Heck my 660's run a 42" bar.

I just hate hearing about that 088. I hope you lose sleep over stealing that thing.

Yes, you're gonna spend some serious coin on a big bar for that thing. Left coast supplies has some good deals on long GB bars, which are very good quality. You'll still be looking at over $300 for a 60" bar, though.

One thing I've noticed with my 550xp is when I store it vertical till the next weekend saw time/playtime/exercise time, with half tank or more of fuel, 2 pulls with choke on, floods right out, gas runs out the muffler, but store the saw level and starts rite up. Now aint that a hummer cant store my saw vertical unless out of gas. I suppose the problem could be that so called auto-tune thing, too me auto-tune is where I hold up the chainsaw towards a satellite and Husqvarna will send a signal from Sweden and tune-up my saw or they might send another signal saying, dont store the chainsaw vertical...........

So far from what I read, the Jonsered crowd is awfully quiet and I have two that's 10 years old, guess I'm a crowd of one.

I subscribed to Wine Spectator for a few years. I always looked forward to the ratings of different wines. Costs were included in the ratings. California, with out doubt, has the best wines out there world wide and for a lot less money. Time after time I seen a California wine rated exceptional and under $20.00. Yes, I'm a cork dork
