I'm thinking about buying a tractor, what I'm looking for is one with a hydro transmission, mid pto for belly mower, cab and of course a loader. Was wanting your advice on which one. Also how is cut quality of a belly mower. I would be using it for yard work and snow removal on my half mile driveway.

Any small compact or SCUT will do the job.
For a cab, you'll probably have to go small compact...no SCUT I know offer the option...unless you want to go with a soft sided cab like Curtis ? The cab is really a "NEED" or a "WANT"...they're quite expensive you know !
The hp depends on the size of the jobs you want to perform.
I would go with whatever brand the dealer is selling in your area....buying the tractor is easy, servicing it afterwards is what makes doing business with a dealer pleasant or not. A good dealer makes the whole experience much more pleasant.
Your question about MMM....they really do a very good quality cut, mine at least does...golf course quality...it's a 60" MF.

Rather not have a soft cab

B2650 HSTC Kubota would be my choice.Looked at the small Mahindra cab and it didn't have air conditioning.

Most folks buy somewhat based on the dealers near them. This doc helps by showing some of the more common brands.

All the top brands have good machines so don't fear getting a bad one! Typically you will pay a bit more for JD and Kubota compared to others. A lot of machines are made by someone else. E.g. Yanmar contributed to JD. Mitsubishi to Mahindra and LS to New Holland and so on. I recently was looking at 25-39HP machines. I liked some of the Mahindra stuff, Kioti, some of Kubota. Yanmar has been ramping up in their own machines in the USA but they hadn't shipped to dealers yet- they looked nice though. LS didn't have anything around me but they are rated well. JD was tough for me. They use a proprietary loader attachment system that turned me off and they were quite proud of the product compared to others. I settled on what I thought to be the best dealer.

Can't speak to the mower part. Do you know what HP range you are looking at?

How do mid mount mowers compare to rear mount finish mowers

If you are mowing large areas with few obstacles a rear finish mower would work well. If you are mowing in an area with lots of obstacles the mid will be better due to shorter turning radius. Both types do a fine job. I've used a rear finish mower the last 20 plus years.

A MMM and a RFM both work well. I much prefer a separate mower to either option. A zero turn mower is the usual mower of choice unless the terrain prohibits that. A RFM is less of hassle than a MMM and has a better resale value. RFM = rear finish mower. MMM = mid mount mower or belly mower. FEL = front end loader.

Quality of cut is pretty much the same.
But as said above, much better maneuverability with a MMM...but for large lawns without obstacle, a rear mower can do the job as good.
I own and operate both so I talk from my own experience.
What size (hp) are you looking for.
