Is angle iron like this with holes in it commercially available?

Anyone know if angle iron like this with holes in it is available? It's probably 1/4" or 3/16" thick and this sure looks commercial to me. It sure would be helpful for a project I have.

I stole the photo from another TBN post.

Start calling local steel suppliers, it may be. If it's a special order item get ready to pay big $$$$$. The people who are buying it like that get 18 wheeler loads at a time not 1-2 pieces.

Galvanized square tubing with holes just like this is usually available from the county road commission, one way or another. I see signs of it all over the place, some temporary ( !!! ).

No, there is no market for it. What if the buyer needed holes .02 OC larger or 0.01"Ø?

Uni strut is available at most places and its' not too expensive. It might work for your application. They also make a full range of connectors, clamps, etc.. for it as it is widely used by plumbers and electricians for conduit and piping mounts. Different colors and sizes are available.

Not sure what you meant by "looks commercial" but I have never seen anything like that available for sale at a steel supplier.

When I was installing some garage doors, I asked my local steel supplier if he could provide some kind of punched or drilled angle, to avoid the high cost at the hardware store. He told me he had tried to find some in quantity because lots of people wanted it but had never been able to find a source at any reasonable price.

If that's 1/4 angle, its not the galvanized and thin angle they use to mount garage doors with.... I'm afraid I not seen that type for sale that's pre-punched with holes.

Tell us more about your project, then maybe we can think of alternative ways to do it.
