I"m new to the U.P. and wondered if there might be a tractor guy close by that might need a hand at times-like I sure do, some stuff is tough without 3 hand's.
Oh by the way I'm a new tractor guy with old tractor tho.......

There is an occassional fellow from NY state that now resides in the upper peninsula of Michigan. He used to go by jdemaris but another ID now.
He is the to to guy for info on solar power systems and over the air television reception.

I wouldn't have described myself as a tractor junkie, but I am near the Soo, so Welcome!
Currently very slowly working on an engine overhaul on a Ford that is older than yours.

jchewie, where you at? I just came in from painting hood, had to remove to change waterpump (should get it Friday) anyway's, Larry
what engine are you re-building gas-diesel ? I wish I had that skill level-just never was taught how to go that deep.....

Im in Soo township. Picked up this 73 Ford 3000 gas tractor and could hear it knock after i changed out the old exhaust manifold with a hole in it. Pride, ambition, and a patient wife make for more projects than i can handle sometimes. This is my first time in the lower end of an engine. I was never taught either, just willing to dive on in. Again feel free to send me an email if you need a hand with something or want to swap stories. Jeff
