1986 ford 1910
Hello everyone, I'm new to forum and new owner[new to me] of 1986 ford 1910 tractor. I have manual that show how to drain rear axle housing, plug located at center bottom of axle housing. It show fill plug on back side of housing.....for the life of me I can't find it .

Anyone have picture of the plug on the housing ??

Only fill point I know of on a 1910 is the large cap with dipstick that is right behind the two main shift levers. FYI the transmission also has a drain plug, transmission and rear end share the same oil cavity. I wouldn't drain it unless I was going to change it completely

I have fill filled the tranny area and that will only take about 15 or so liters. I don't know if oil is getting into the axle housing. I guest I could just remove rear axle plug and see now much comes out.
The tranny is common area and should take 26 total liters.

i have a 1710 so it may not be the same but there are 3 plugs that need to be removed to drain the hydraulic fluid completely.

the manual seem to show that, next to the hydraulic line going into the tranny there is a plug there. I could only find just 2 drain plugs.. first one bottom of tranny and second bottom center of rear axle.

there's 4 plugs all together.....there's 2 rear end plugs as well. on the 1710 the center one in the rear is there if you have 4wd.

So on the 1910, where is the fill plug for the rear axle. I checked every where on the axle and don't see any where to fill that area.My 1910 manual states that the rear axle and tranny and the suction line to pump are a common oil sump.

Your manual is correct, and as previously stated, the common fill with dipstick is in the transmission cover. There is no rear fill point.
