When is John Deere going to learn and finally ditch their proprietary FEL mounting design in favor of the standard skid steer mount as Kubota has done?

Anyway, until they do, we need to get an adapter plate to use those plentiful skid steer implements. I've seen a very inexpensive Titan adapter plate advertised, but I have no idea if it's any good.

What are others using?

** For clarity, I'm NOT looking for permanent, weld-on adapter plates. I'm looking for plates that can be pinned onto JD FELs using the original pin locations, which then include standard skid steer quick attach levers.

Contact your dealer, they should be able to get the SSQA for your loader, it's a option for most of there loaders when bought new.

What are you talking about? The 500 series loader style or the euro/global? I have the euro/global and got the adapter to SSQC. It works fine, I do like the euro style a lot though. Only have to get off the tractor once and it's very strong.

I may be alone on this, but I actually like the JD attachment system because it's very simple to build your own attachments, and it is lighter than the SSQA so more lifting capacity.

I am interested to hear what others have to say though.

I'm with you. 100%.

I think it's probably probably better on these small machines, but I'd hate to loose the versatility of SSQA.

x3!

OP, just get the JDQA/SSQA adaptor... or order the FEL attachment configured to the JD system. Honestly, there can't be that many FEL attachments that you need.

I prefer the JD bucket/forks hookup design. Easy to pick up either from the tractor seat, then just slip the hitch pins to secure on each side.

I turned down the skidsteer hitch attachment when the dealer offered because it weighed more and I still would have to get off to latch it.
Besides that, there are not any attachments from a skidsteer lineup that I'd want or need on my FEL.. can't think of a single one..

I'll keep the Deere proprietary FEL design.. I like it.

I am a JDQA proponent as well, simple and cost effective. Anything that can be effectively used (buckets grapples, forks) on a CUT is readily available in that format.

OP, depending on what equipment you have (no signature so we don't know) it may be able to be converted to SSQA with OEM parts, and there is also a few adapters on the market too but they add weight and move the implements out further reducing lifting capacity.

Op, your getting some really good feedback and advice, the majority of implements you would need are JDQA and the hook up is real easy, if you see a skid steer attachment you want to try out most companies will convert it to JDQA or you can find a weld shop to do it. The last thing you want is a bulky adapter plate and the added weight. I want to give titans stump bucket a try and I will convert it.
