Troubleshooting my 30 amp ACC blown fuse on 2012 5065e. My 7 pin connector has no wire connecting to pin #4 located at 6 o'clock. According to the diagram in manual, pin 4 is "reserved/brake light". The red wire from tractor (presumably "hot", is connected to pin 7 located dead center. The manual labels this pin "accessory". When measuring voltage across the 2 stabs (holding fuse) I measure 12.8 volts from left stab to frame and 0 volts from right stab to frame. Also measure 12.8 volts across stab from left side to right side. This indicates a fault between right stab and frame (ground). I wonder if that 7 th wire for pin 4 never made it to 7 pin connector and is touching frame or ground? Just wondering if pin 4 is intended to be "not connected"? I intend to measure resistance between the "7 pin and frame to see if it is grounded. But if someone knows pin 4 should be connected to a wire, then that wire (somewhere in conduit) may be the fault if touching a grounded wire or frame.

Picture?

What is the 7 pin connector used for?

As far as I can tell , it is the only load on the 30 amp fuse labeled 30ACC. Mine has a short to ground on the wiring from the fuse block to the connector behind the fuel tank on back of tractor

Pin #4, which is at the 6 O Clock position, is brake/stop light on my 7-pin connector. Mine definitely has a wire going to pin #4. And there is a wire going to each of the other six pins also. I just went out and bumped my noggin checking the back of the plug.

I think your assumption that the wire going to pin #4 has come off and is grounded somewhere is valid. Find the wire, re-pull it thru the conduit, attach it to pin #4 and that should solve your problem. Then try to determine why that one wire came off the plug in the first place?????

Thanks for the info. Is your tractor a Kubota? Or a Deere? I am hoping you are correct but wondering if the Deere could have an unused pin by design?

should be universal as John Deere would not expect you to only pull Pull Deere equipment

I agree. On my tractor I have both a 2 pin male-female connector AND a 4 pin male-female connector both about 1 foot upstream of the 7 pin plug. Probably the 4 pin connector is the turn signals and the 2 pin a hot wire and ground. I guess the missing wire is another hot wire or wire connected to brake lights .

Rmd8136 - my seven pin connector is on my Kubota. But the seven pin connector on my Ford F-150 is exactly the same and all pins provide connection to the same places on both the Kubota & Ford. I think the seven pin trailer connector is pretty universal.

This is how my truck and trailer is wired:
