Buying Advice Recommendations for first tractor (Kubota)

The made in India 3E series is similar in name ONLY to the quality of Deere's big agriculture tractors. The numerous issues with the design, materials, and even quality control that have shown up on TBN are evidence of this. It's almost wrong to think of them as made by the same company.

Baloney. There are many less expensive and equally reliable and capable tractors made by other Asian manufacturers. Besides Kubota, Kioti, LS and Mahindra are all excellent tractors and better bang for the buck. JD is just as good and no better, just costs more money.

Bang for the buck ??? Don't believe it, AND they are not comparable in quality, engineering, and reliability. My opinion only, so no hissy fits, please.

I will agree with this, a used tractor is good to start out with. And as long as you find a well maintained tractor it should give you relatively little problems.

Now for everyone who thinks that I'm just full crap, the reason that I am saying Deere's are the best is because of my experience running tractors. I have run almost every color tractor, but Deere's have been the most reliable with the lowest down time, this is running 10-12 hours a day 6 days a week. This my opinion from my experience.

The reason I am going with new is 0% financing, I dont want to take on someone elses project or neglected tractor with no knowledge, and the warranty/dealer factor.

I did some google searching for dealers close to me and the new property. There are two kubotas, a couple JD, mahindra, kioti, and MH. I will try and stop by some of them this weekend for quotes to do my best to find the right tractor/deal.

Used CUTs are not always a good deal. They hold their value well and zero percent financing on new ones makes it a bit more complicated to figure real cost of putting out cash for a used one. Deals can be found but it isn't like the used car market where two and three year old vehicles are almost always good deals compared to new.

This is usually the case. 5 percent APR is considered Prime. You have to take the interest and add it back to the total to figure out total cost of ownership.
