I like the idea of the 12V impact, but my tow vehicle is limited on tool crib space (Jeep Grand Cherokee eco-Diesel), so I have to be smart about what I carry, and my most frequently towed trailer is a bass boat, so no where to store tools like on a util trailer w/ a tongue box.
But, I do have one of the old orange HF electric impacts and use it for almost all my tire change/rotation work, as it's a lot easier to drag an extension cord than a heavy air hose, if I got a suborn one, I break w/ the big bruiser bar and go back to the orange guy.
