I'm done with Levis (Rant)

I quit Levi's so many years ago, I can't even remember the year... Went to Wranglers...

I was happy with Wranglers UNTIL my wife FINALLY talked me into trying Duluth Firehose pants!!

Now I won't wear anything else, I just love the insulated pants in the winter, and the non insulated in the summer. All the pockets are REALLY nice for "us" that work outdoors and have uses for them.


Best part is, IF you are EVER unhappy with a pair, they will replace them! Even if they are torn or ? ...

If you're not opposed to second hand, try eBay. I buy all my Carhartts on eBay, get them less than half price of ya look around.

Just takes a bit of looking around sometimes. I've got around 5-7 pair, all from eBay for less than $25.

I've not tried their jeans but have purchased 2 pairs of overalls from Roundhouse and was well pleased. Made in the USA. When on sale very reasonable in price.

I wouldn't have believed it had I not read some of the posts, but there was thread a few months ago in which sandal enthusiasts discussed their preferences.

I mentioned cologne because of a couple old geezers in the neighborhood. Seems like they are having a contest to see who can smell the loudest. Reminds me of the movie with Walter Mathau and Jack Lemon competing for the attention of Ann-Margret.

For the first time I decided to try ordering work trousers direct from the company via the interwebs. I had a pair from "Hard Yakka" (Aussie company... the name is also slang for 'tough work') that fit well & without having to hem.

Whilst ordering 3 new pair (2 khaki, 1 blue), I took a gamble on a pair of jeans too. They turned out to be the best I've ever worn! Very inexpensive coming from the warehouse.


Oh, and my 'scent' is usually Eau-de Equine Plop.

In my Navy days we referred to aftershave/cologne as "***** lure".
