Industrial three phase wire coding. Either wire color or coding tape.
Brown = phase 1
Orange = phase 2
Yellow = phase 3

That way you can keep things sorted out when wiring panels, motors, fixtures, equipment, etc

Cool. Ok, 3phase wiring is something I am pretty ignorant about. I know some theory, but have zero practice.

Never could remember that one. I always used Roy G Biv (red orange yellow green blue indigo violet)(I think my high school radio club faculty advisor told us that one). I know it misses some of the colors, but gets most of 'em.

I remember that one from Thermodynamics/Optics in a Physics class (physics 3).
