I have dash cam in 2 vehicles. Love them. Unbelievable the stuff people do.

Me too... in fact my wife bought me one for my F150 for xmas from Costco. Seemed very nice but I ended up returning it... now I am sort wondering why I 'chickened out'. Maybe I was worried it would incriminate me?
Can you "plead the 5th" with your footage? Or is it required to be submitted? Maybe if you do something idiotic it can be deleted accidentally?

Pull and swallow the SD Card...

I have one in my commuter car, need to add a second one for rear facing and also add one to the truck and my wife's car.

I was going to get one with front and rear facing in one camera body but after hearing of some camera having one channel dying before the others, I figured it would be better to just get 2 inexpensive ones.

I have a $60 cpacitor model I bought off ebay (have to look up the brand/model) that has been doing good for over a year now. Uses a standard mini SD card.

I keep the mic off most of the time, mainly because if somthing happens nobody has to hear my singing before the incident............

Apparently we prefer people to take responsibility for their own actions. Why do you want to be the "nanny state" and actually warn them of a potential problem?! Communist.

(Disclaimer: please infer pointed sarcasm contained in the above comment)*

*I apologize to the AM radio listeners for the "nanny state" disclaimer above.

The nanny state doesn't warn people of issues, it prevents them from getting into them (or tries). Along with preventing them from doing a lot of things they might actually want to do. But good try on the sarcasm. Just keep trying...

I will keep trying because I know you have an open mind.

Another .webm so it can't be inserted here.

Impatient trucker starts across tracks before huge overhang from last flatcar has cleared the crossing ... yep.

Well at least his load was tied down securely. :)

He might have been ok if the train hadn't slowed down! Not saying it isn't his fault, just that it was pretty close to going by in front if his load. Pretty stupid though, to drive his truck right under that thing. :)
