I don't know where this was, found it on a humor site ("what could go wrong?") and google images doesn't help with the attribution. <img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=520188"/>

Just seen this same set up but with a Cadillac Escalade, he had the back hatch open and the boards were several feet inside the vehicle.

My buddy has one of those 4x8 hf trailers, it is a 2" hitch... Not 1 7/8".

Maybee that's why his came off his 1 7/8" ball!!!

Ditto!
All hitches/trailers with 2" ball makes it simple!

What, no load straps?
no.if the police would catch us we'd be screwed anyways, so we just took the short way home, it was only 4km: in 1st gear at low idle over the speedbumps, and with long wide curve into the driveway, to not twist the torsion arms...

When you have no friends

That is dumb on so many levels.
Life is lonely at the top.

Went to the local contractor with my father, to pick up some compost and clean topsoil for his raised flowerbeds. Asked 2 cubic meter, the loader operator overshot with the topsoil and dropped an extra cubic meter.

On the scale, we topped 5960kg (13.139 pounds) without me and my father in it. The 2.5 TDI pulled off easily without touching the gas, just slowly releasing the clutch....

I bet that trailer exceeded the tongue weight of that Volvo just a bit. And probably pushed the limits of its brakes. :)

Tongue weight: i put the coupler an inch lower to have tongue weight even when driving empty. And all my volvos had saggy rear springs after 3 to 400.000km, i will replace them with those of the estate version, which are stronger.

And pushing limits on tow vehicles brakes: here in Europe brakes on all axles are mandatory. And because i have small 195/50R13 wheels it brakes like an anchor.

Despite being illegal, it is certainly not unsafe. The combination tracks and handles really well, though i'd prefer a ton less when hitting the highway.
