Her boss called me back. He is going to discuss with dealer and get regional representatives involved. I suggested that they take my tractor back and upgrade my tractor to a tractor that can handle the work. This size tractor should be able to handle it. This particular tractor can't. Serious quality control problem with this tractor.

I've lost so much time with the problems I've had with this tractor. Close to 30 days I have not been able to use it in just 254 hours of use in 10 months. The dealer and Mahindra need to acknowledge this and do something to make things right.

Aren't many Mahindra's built by TYM? Tong Yang Moolsan isn't Irish....
All manufacturers have problems, but Mahindra USA isn't helpful extracting any information from. Their brand suffers Imo because of it- ease of parts #'s, warranty info on used tractors, in service dates etc. They are really bad to their own detriment in that regard, and I just bought one. Almost didn't for those reasons, but decided to pull the trigger after a nauseating amount of research on different makes and models made me realize they all have some problems- even kubotas

If you had like 20 hours and little use with these amount of problems then yes they may consider replacing it.... MAY... but with that amount of hours in that amount of time your not going to get far... or you could just waste even more time trying. Goodluck

254 hours is probably around or near the first scheduled oil change, that's still brand new in machinery terms.

I know what a reliable tractor can do and how long they can go without having these kind of problems. I've experienced it with several tractors. Kubotas. Deere. Bobcat. When you spend $45,000 on a brand new tractor so you don't have to worry about any major problems for a while, you certainly should NOT have this many problems with it. Not have bolts falling out of it. Not having transmission problems. Not have steering problems. Etc., Etc.

For Another $5,000 or so you could have purchased an L47. I would ask for cash back on 80-85% of purchase price and just get out of it.
I doubt they will replace the tractor.

Yup. But one big reason I didn't go with a TLB series Kubota is you can not get R-1 Agricultural tires. I know that seems like a small thing but I have 81 acres of land and the top soil is pretty soft. The R-4 industrial tires are really poor performers in soft/wet soil and in the right condition snow. And I also like to get firewood in the winter time. The R-1s really makes a big difference in production. It was a tough call. I could have bought a Kubota Ag tractor though.

How's my production now with this Mahindra? Great, when it's working right. But way too many lost time days when it's not! Ugh!

No argument about the R4's too small tires, and R4's & heavy tractor do not do well on soft ground. I was looking at Euro sized Ag Radials, but with new rims that sure gets pricey. I also run 8 ply minimum.

Kubota AG tractor size for size does not usually spec. as well as Mahindra, but then again seldom break down.
