What's worse than a liberal IMO is someone who wants to push their own social agenda upon others. Those same people scare me because they never seem to learn from the past.

Got to keep politicians out of this.

"The doctors have come out to say their words have been misinterpreted,*since claiming that the early news reports were “totally overblown” and “sensationalized”. They argue that the possible "association" or "relationship" between cannabis exposure and the boy's myocarditis does not indicate there was a "cause and effect" relationship. In fact, there was no direct evidence to suggests this at all. Perhaps their choice of words was heavy-handed, but they now stringently deny any direct causality between the marijuana and the death.
“We are absolutely not saying that marijuana killed that child,” Dr Nappe told the*Washington Post."

One thing for sure, it is one heck of a lot easier to overdose on the joy juice, than the giggle smoke. Just ask any dead frat boy.

Honestly, I don't care either way. I've never understood the allure of being in an altered state. Never thought life was so bad to need getting away from.

I can't see that illicit drugs or alcohol have made anyone's lives better(excepting for some medical marijuana uses).

All different types of "altered state" with and without drugs.

In my younger years, it was just as a "high" to go out on a 15 or 20 mile run as it was to take a hit.

Thing is, people tend to forget that alcohol is a depressant. Weed is not. However, alcohol has the cool superbowl TV commercials, weed doesn't.

.... Never thought life was so bad to need getting away from....

For some, yes, its a way to escape a bad situation.

For me, back then, that was the farthest thing from my mind. It was a h#$% of a good time! Extemely fun to get smoked up with some friends and laugh your rear off, act stupid, and generally have fun. Same thing goes for drinking. Get a buzz, have some laughs, joke around, and enjoy yourself.

Then call for a ride.

Haa. I have been called a lot of things but never been called a liberal. Ever. I was not advocating alcohol over MJ.

I do have problems with dopers or drinkers waving guns around thinking that they can handle liquor or drugs with no effect. If any is ingested in minimal amounts then no problem but everyone needs to know their limits and stay well below them. That said, I would bring back prohibition and MJ would be illegal all over, with the exception of medical MJ, possibly.

What's worse than a liberal IMO is someone who wants to push their own social agenda upon others. Those same people scare me because they never seem to learn from the past.

You must mean the pro drunks and dopers. But they never do seem to learn even from others mistakes.

Mmmm....not for me! :)

I used to be a very aggressive distance swimmer. I'd swim several miles at lunch 6 days a week when working as a lifeguard. So I know what it feels like to get a runners high, only in swimming form. While it is quite euphoric, it's no comparison to "the good stuff."

Back in the late 70s, I had a friend who's older sister's husband used to "import" some "good stuff" from all over the world... (he's what we'd have called a drug dealer back then). Some of that stuff, two hits and good gravy, you're non-functional for several hours. :confused2:

Now if we're talking Crumstown Ditchweed, well, yeah, it's pretty mild.
