Year of manual is Feb 2015 and it is for all newer GL40's.
According to the Kubota's parts website it looks like L4740-3 and smaller use 6 clutches/steels in the clutch pack, while the L5240-3 and larger use 7. I'm wondering if you could have used the 7 clutch/steel clutch pack to get more torque capability.
Do you think the HST requires higher pressure to compensate for the lower pressure when moving? How much does it drop when moving and does it ever recover?
What is the published date of your manual?

Newbury,
Would you be so kind to direct me to a post or three discussing low PTO pressure? I'd like to read more about it and learn why they checked it in the first place.
Thanks
Kubota Technical Dept got back to me today, the pressures listed in my repair manual are correct, the higher pressure's listed are for the newer tractor's. I have mine set at 350psi.

There is a feature on the net called google.
for example put this into google:
hydraulic pressure low kubota dealer site: and then put in the site tractorbynet.
If I actually put it in the example it's transformed to a url and I tried editing it 5 times.
