2019 Silverado

I am rather happy with my 2010 Silverado. But I don't hate Ford, I have owned plenty of them Nor Dodge/RAM, I have drove plenty of them as company vehicles, and I own a Chrysler minivan. So I just don't have any brand loyalty. I am sure that doesn't set well with some of you....

Ok, now we move on from ball joints to bulbs. I never had to field dress my 2011 or my 2013 to replace a maker or turn signal bulb. Look around the obstructions, and loosen the stuff up, put a bulb in and done. 15-20 minutes, depending on the beers. Geez dude I hope you have better luck with the suspension parts in your current ride than I have seen, have seen plenty of suspension failures with those..However, I don't do brand trashing, so .

As far as the so called "square bodies" that your pine for, we all had them back in the day. We all became pretty good mechanics due to the constant issues with them irrespective of brand..We just fixed them. Lighten up..We all know by now you hate GM..But really?

Yes but i changed a headlight on my Honda Odyssey the other day and it was a simple unlatch the connector twist the bulb base a quarter turn and pull out. Reverse the process for install - maybe two minutes with one of it being going out to the vehicle. GM leaves a lot to be desired. And yes I have an 05 Silverado (poor) and a '99 Deville (great vehicle with 260k).

I've owned 3 GM trucks, one GM car and ended up with my dads 2000 Silverado after he passed. I still have his truck which has 250,000 miles on it but all but my 04 have been disappointments. The 2008 Malibu I had developed electronic gremlins at 50,000 miles, the radio completely quit, the lights in the interior were burning out, it locked the keys in the ignition and you couldn't remove them(this was right before the ignition recall ironically) so I traded it for a Camry and never looked back. My 2004 was rock solid but it had bad luck hitting deer at the end of its life and the insurance company totaled it, the 2011 6.2 I had I kept for a year before dumping it, the 2014 I had I kept for a year and a half before dumping it. I got tired of all the recalls of the 2014 that seemed to spend more time in the shop than on the road. I'm on my first Ford and am loving it so far.

The 2019 Silverado does nothing for me. I've seen it in every trim and it just looks odd to me. All the tech it brings seems like it copied from Ford and Ram and then Ram went and upstaged it a few days later when they released their all-new truck. My next truck will come down to Ram and another F150. GM isn't even a consideration.

That tells me that you are full of crap. You cannot replace turn signal bulbs in an 07-13 GM without removing the grill, fascia, and unbolting the inner fender (to get at assembly bolts.). because the rad cradle obstructs the the bulb locations, the assembly must be removed.

But then again, you said all of your trucks were dealer inspected/serviced, so that explains your reply.

Back on topic - the GM is a huge disappointment, the interior is a carryover from the current generation.

They copied Ram’s Ramboxes, but with the placement they are useless in a loaded bed.

The nose on the Chev resembles an F150.

I have owned GM trucks/cars all of my life, multiple squar bodies, 04 Sierra crew, and an 11 - that Gen (07-13) drove me away from GM. Everything about them are cheap, low quality cobbled together crap. They were a huge step back in engineering and common sense. Ever change a headlight in a 99-06? Slide two pins out and the entire assembly is in your hand. Want to change a burnt marker light or headlight in an 07-13? Unbolt inner fender, remove grill, fascia, then headlight assembly. Yeah, POS is an understatement.

The 19 1500 do nothing to bring me back. Still the same horrid interior as the 14+, don稚 care for the exterior either.

You can change reach the headlight bulbs by removing the battery and reaching through next to the windshield washer tank. On the other side, you can remove the air cleaner box and the bulbs are right behind it. ;)

There's several dozen videos on u-tube regarding this procedure. :)

It took about 60 seconds to change the headlight bulb in my 2000 body Silverado. Those were the best trucks ever made IMO.

Exactly, it isn't all that hard. He can say whatever he wants about me, I don't care.
