I saw a smaller scale windmill on YouTube that powered an electric driven rail car loaded with concrete up a hill. When it got dark the rail car slowly rolled down the hill generating electricity. They claimed the “battery” was like 96 percent efficient.

The turbines down on the coast are doing their part. They're pretty cool to experience up close; it makes me feel like an ant standing in front of a pedestal fan!

Most have a remote pre conditioning mode that will warm or cool as needed before unplugging and driving off.

Here is a Tesla Model X that the owner tested it's ability to warm the car in cold weather. from 21*F didn't take to long to get to 104* F then 108*F

What about headlights and windshield wipers? I'm not completely opposed to the idea, but most of us are accustomed to the convenience of an IC engine. Once the technology gets more advanced and prices go down an EV could make a good second vehicle; especially combined with a solar panel on top of the garage. That renditioning of the electric pickup looks like an updated version of an Electric Camino
