City people do not buy pickup trucks. They do not make sense.Except for the fact that the city people who think they look cool have made pickups unaffordable for the rest of us that actually need them. I知 driving a 90s model truck because a 2000s body truck with equal mileage and body condition is 20k.
Most extra cab pickups are too long to park easily in standard parking spaces, which are 20 feet. Ditto Suburbans. Crew cab pickups do not fit them, period. Turning radius is an issue as well.
Popular city cars tend to be those with high volume for the footprint, at least around here where people take off for lakes, mountains and beaches on the weekend with their friends. Vehicles like Mazda 3 Hatchbacks, Subaru CrossTrek or Forester, or other small CUV, and VW Golf are far more popular than pickups. Too hard to secure the contents as well.
Suburbanites seem to be the ones who buy the glam trucks: they have money and parking. Population of Boston is 620,000. Population of Metro Boston is 4.5 million. That is where the pickups are.
