Only this one really hurts. We made the decision to let go of our beloved female boxer "Desi" today due to cancer. Desi came into our lives four years ago this past February as a foster. From the get go, she "wiggle butted" herself into our lives. I think we may have made the decision to adopt her the same day we received her.
Likely the runt of her litter and not the best conformation of the breed, her "elfish" look and hilarious antics won not only our hearts but everyone that met her. Her airway was particulary restricted due to her physical structure. In fact, she was sick when we took her in. Periodically we took her in for her breathing issues when they would flare up. What with all of that, she never stopped being a love.
We have four other dogs including another boxer so the house is hardly quiet plus a foxhound that we are fostering so it will not be painfully quiet. Thanks for "listening".
