CAT just came out with a new UTV, has anyone driven or seen one yet?

From their Product and Service announcement page, so only thing new is badge and paint.

The new Cat UTV models were developed in collaboration with Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc., a division of Textron Inc. Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. (TSV) manufactures utility vehicles and equipment to serve numerous industries, marketed under a number of brands. TSV product lines include Cushman utility vehicles, Textron Off Road side-by-sides and ATVs, Arctic Cat snowmobiles, Jacobsen professional turf equipment, and E-Z-GO golf carts.

I bet it will be like everything else cat - you over pay for the name. Don’t misunderstand me they make good stuff but it is not that much better than the competitors to justify the cost.

Like Milkman said, Textron builds it for CAT. It's not a CAT product. Even the diesel engine version is a Kohler, not CAT. Looks like the only thing about it that's CAT, is the badge and yellow color. It appears to be just a re-branded Arctic Cat/Textron Off-Road UTV.

And, I'm not a CAT basher. My preference in big truck engines is CAT. (single turbo C-15, to be exact) I think they were the best truck engines ever built.
I also believe that when it comes to large dirt equipment, like bulldozers and excavators, CAT makes the best.

FWIW, I think it's a mistake for CAT.

I talked to a dealer and a lot of dealers will not sell them, they say CAT is forcing dealers to spend a lot of money at the dealership to support the UTV. Dealers are opting out. Furthermore he said they are already having engine problems.

Good Grief! Can't someone build a UTV that isn't the same-old, same old Garbage and configuration as the rest? Like a very basic stripped down Tracker, would be a good start.

Like maybe a Mahindra Roxor. Looks interesting. Not sure I can sell wife on manual tranny but I like. Assembled in Detroit, based on India built Willys Jeep.

I used to work at a Kioti dealership. The Mechron was the only offering in the entire line that I was impressed with.

The speculation on another forum was that Cat got into this market to keep their customers out of Deere and Kubota stores.

it’s a joke.. Dealers are getting forced to stock/sell them. They don’t know who will service/warranty them.
