Are these the RVS heated cams?

NOPE, my $50. ish system is not heated and works down to -30deg.
To note however I use a remote toggle switch to power it as I did not trust the flimsy built in device.

AS to camera location I mounted it up high under my rear roof overhang (a mere 3") so snow never gets to it.
I'd suggest that a tiny 'hat' or shaped 'roof' would keep the camera clear.*
This highish location looks down somewhat but has proven not to be a problem.
In fact low would see shadows while high sees beyond.
The only weird effects is when I am blowing snow and have my yellow beacon on I constantly have intermittent blasts of yellow snow. LOL.

*unlike a car whereby snow is sucked up due to speed tractors while working rarely travel at a speed that would suck up snow.
Also note that I only use my camera to blow snow, and that in all kinds of windy conditions and never had a snowed over camera.

My display is mounted front center just above my steering wheel and low enough that it does not hinder forward visibility at all.
Actually with the windshield close I just clear with gloved hands while steering.
(when or if I need gloves, as my cab is heated)

Considering a camera system for the back of snowcat, interested in a heated one if it would melt off snow at reasonable rate.

I have a Galaxy Tab-E mounted over the dash I was planning on using to help cut/plow straight lines. :ashamed: I can't find any good free or simple apps to do it though. I carry my Galaxy S8+ phone in my pocket to act as a Wi-Fi hot spot for the tablet. I guess I could just use the phone mounted on a holder for headings but there's no way to "buffer the bumps". And the compass doesn't like being held vertical.

Have a sprayer control and a GPS in my cab. Don't necessarily like the way I mounter the sprayer control, nor the style the controller is, but I got it for free so I didn't complain. . Eventually want to get a round baler and mount a camera on the baler as well as moisture monitor in cab. Probably will make a console like Bagwell Farms did to mount them, (Link Below). My GPS I built a stand for that works pretty good.

I have a Rearview Systems 7" monitor and two cameras:

Good post. Thanks for sharing that.

I don't have a cab but really would like to have two cameras. I use my forks a lot but can't see the tips when they are level with the ground I would be nice to mount a camera on the front of my FOPS canopy that would look forward and down at the path of the blade/forks and one on the rear so I could more easily back my snow blower ups and also check for short people/things in my way when backing. Because everything I have is pretty much "in the weather" I would probably have to remove my monitor or make a cover for it. Suggestions?

I went with Rearview Systems because it is made for commercial heavy duty use and the 5 year warranty.

Installed it 9/2/2012, no problems. Use it every time I drive the V417.

It is waterproof, IP65k rated:

Thanks, very nice unit but a bit out of my willingly-paid price range. I think I'll try building a box for a 7" designed for inside the car. Maybe something like this for $80 delivered? Anybody built a weather proof case for a monitor?

I installed a Ag camera with monitor in the 8560 for front fork positioning under pallets. The system accepts up to 4 cameras, I added 2 more so far. 1 for a rear view and a wire to connect a 30 or 60 foot cable for planter, corn sheller, gravity wagon or any other application.
Used Video by Jim out of Texas, does a lot of custom setups for Ag applications and stands behind his products.

I also use a I-Pad for spraying and planting using a external GPS Antennae Bluetooth to the Ipad with Field Navigator or Farm Tracks apps for guidance lines. Not good enough for precision planting but good enough for Spraying and Fertilizer.

What antenna are you using? Is it a direct plug and play type system? I've been looking for something for spraying/mowing to decrease my inevitable overlap and save a few rounds.

I've been looking at getting a Raven CR7, but the system is expensive for my needs... although having future option for autosteer seems nice... I don't think it would ever realistically be worthwhile for me, unless I had a big $$$ change. But I would like to get a spray accuracy level, GPS if possible.
