The Billions of dollars awarded to victims by US courts is enough proof for me...

BTW...the OP was a bout the FDA having studied the issue for two years and have not released the full report...some information was released in the timely article cited... but I agree it does have underlying connotations...

Then accept as gospel in your world and not TROLL the board knowing most find it Ridiculous.

So... hot coffee should be outlawed? A court awarded $600K to a woman for a burn. According to your completely disparate posts in which you say a PhD has no bearing then say that a jury deciding which PhD is 'correct' actually means something...

/Pine I'd say I understand your belief and your slant. That is fine. But, I will tell you to step back from your position and look at how you got there and whether the scientific data supports it. I have no problem with your belief... That is yours. But I do have a major problem when you begin stating things as 'fact' when they are very VERY clearly anything but fact.

You speak about PhDs and MDs as having no bearing... and yet... you put full credence into JDs. THINK about this... just think.

I'm all for keeping as much harmful or potentially harmful stuff out of our food supply, but first of all most of us need to put down the knife and fork a lot sooner than we usually do. That said lifetime habits are hard to break, ask me how I know!
It is well researched that eating a vegetable based diet will probably do far more to protect you from cancer than eliminating every possible carcinogen from your diet (Look up The China Study). So way less sugar and animal in our diets then after that takes effect, see what else may prevent us from living past 100 :D

No, you have the whole **** thing all wrong...first...title abbreviations behind names is by no means a representative of intelligence...a good number PhDs etc...are really nothing but lifetime students because they don't have the fortitude to exist outside the world of academia...

So, you have learned everything you need to know? There's a lot to be said for lifelong learning: for one thing, it helps develop critical thinking skills.

Might want to look in the mirror You could resemble something more than DENSE....

Only a dumb azz would drink it . The average amount of the 41% solution of glyphosate herbicide ingested by non-survivors was 184 +/- 70 ml (range 85-200 ml), but much larger amounts (500 ... Deaths following ingestion of 'Roundup' alone were due to a syndrome that involved hypotension, unresponsive to intravenous fluids or vasopressor drugs, and ...

But You are correct People drink it and DIE .

Here is a tip on finding more of the facts...learn to scroll down...DUH
What you posted sounds like something you probably copy and pasted from Monsanto's face book page...LoL

Jeez!

I am a fan of chemical free food. I am also a fan or worm and bug free food. I am also a fan of weed free good. I am a big fan or reasonable price food. Chemicals help make the last three possible. As farmer and licensed pesticide person and with spouse in the medical field might ask what chemical is totally safe in unreasonable amounts? When I learned a person could be killed due to drinking too much water got my attention.

But my biggest question is i keep hearing about how some countries really over use chemicals in their farming yet we import their food. I read info on fish and think also shrimp from heavy polluted waters of Asia which when checked are often outside of legal limits yet we still import them.

I suspect you will find the North American Farmers are some of the safest in the World.

I just had major blood work done at age 64 and all good...except the body fat...not chemical issue...need to out law forks...they are killing us. Don't worry the Affordable Care Act probably will be the tool used to fine us over weight people as they are the tobacco users now. No I am not kidding a bit on that.

I share the OP's concerns regarding chemicals in food. But there is nothing really proven about this particular risk. By the same token, why would I want to eat food that is chemical laced? We could certainly find out in the coming years that 20 or 30 years of eating this stuff is harmful, I don't know. The same could be true for GMOs.

My bigger concern is foreign foods as you bring up. We import anything to keep food prices low. A couple years ago we allowed the Chinese government to buy the nations largest pork producer. I don't know about anyone else but I've seen Chinese quality control in other products. I have no desire to to have that same quality control applied to my food. How much of the fish sold in this country has been exposed to radiation from Fukushima? I've read studies that say there is significant radiation in some of our fish.

Regarding scientific studies. You can find any number of conflicting studies. I heard a researcher once explain that the scientific community pays no attention to any one study. He said once 5 - 10 studies show similar results they start thinking there may be something to it. But in reality its a significant amount of studies to to create anything like real scientific knowledge. The media and the Internet love to sensationalize 1 studies finding outside the greater body of knowledge. That is not how science works.

First of all my remarks about higher education degrees has absolutely nothing to do with the subject of the thread...they were abstract theoretical comments...

I don't put full credence into anything...The thread was about the FDA finding glyphosate in about every food they tested...

The only thing preventing the FDA from saying glyphosate causes cancer are the lawsuits by the manufacturers...

No not at all...I am the first one to admit I am ignorant of more things than I am not...observant people can learn something new every day without even trying...
There is an old saying ...If you can't make it in the real world...teach...that is why there is so many crappy teachers out there...many strike for higher pay when 65% of 8th graders are not proficient in reading skills and 67% are not proficient in math...

Jeez!

[ "Pro clue" ]...most of the time the first item(s) listed in a typical Internet search query are paid placements...thus the "scroll down" advice...

Here's another...most savvy internet researchers pay no attention to the title of search engine results (usually blue text)...much more important is the actual URI ( much smaller, usually light green text) where the link will navigate the user to...(i.e., checking the source)...
