Jason from New Hampshire outfitted it with a 200 pound Wicked 55 grapple rake and a custom 3rd function kit he got from us!

I'm glad I ordered it in December - it was waiting for me when I was ready. I actually ordered it late - should have done it about three years earlier!

I had persistent AFib from June 20 to March 8, which made me tired, dizzy, and weaker by the day. No strenuous activity (like walking uphill) and the cardiologist limited me to 20 lbs lifting. This episode was triggered by over-exertion, which prompted me to look for ways to avoid repeating the experience. I was trimming trees and brush when it happened, so a grapple became a much higher priority.

This thing is great! I used to use a chain and bucket hooks to move small boulders - not anymore! Railroad ties might as well be 2x4s. Dead 25' pine tree? Felled it and limbed it with my small, lightweight chainsaw, then used the grapple to pick up the trunk so I could comfortably section it, and two passes cleaned up all the limbs. Fast and minimal effort.

Work smarter - especially when you have to!

"I wish I had bought this years ago! The first thing I did was stack rocks at my drive way entrance. Then picked up chunks of wood and brush and put it in the burn pile, then ripped out black berries and hauled to the burn pile. I had a pile of dirt and rocks that I could not flatten out with my bucket the grapple tore it apart one pile of rocks and a pile of soft dirt, then grabbed a RR tie with the grapple and used it the flatten the pile.
To remove bitter brush I put the teeth in the ground about 5 inches drove through and closed the grapple. I would try this with the bucket and get nowhere! It is made of AR 400 and if you aren't a fabricator, it is alloy high strength steel and much better than mild steel. Pins have grease zerks and has the good tie rod cylinders. I called to order and they treat you like a friend. I have highly recommend this to everyone that says what is that and where did you get it? Most people have not seen one around here. I put mine on a 20HP Mahindra."

Any updates on the back orders of the 55"s? I placed an order a little over 3 weeks ago, and at the time was told 6 weeks, but was just wondering if there's any chance I might get it before Memorial Day Weekend. Can't wait to put that baby to work!

Edit - Whoops - Just saw Ted's post from this morning in the pinned thread. I think I'm a couple of days behind cphillips, so I'm guessing Memorial Day Weekend is a 50/50 chance at best.

Yea, guys. This is the most incredible run we've ever had. Currently, there are over 100 people waiting for just the Wicked 55.

On average, we've been around a week further behind than estimated, so, for the past week or so, we've been saying 7+ weeks with more emphasis on the possible +.

THANK YOU so much for the business and support, guys. It's a wild ride at EA right now and we'll do everything possible to deliver the goods without TOO much delay!

Technical question thats likely been answered but Im kind of lazy this morning.... do these things have a fluid capacity that is significant? Does anyone ever have to add any hydraulic fluid the first time they hook them up? Or is it negligible as I would imagine.... just wondering.

Don't recall much if any change on the dipstick level after hooking up my 55 for the first time. Maybe if I had done the 3rd function oil lines and the 55 at the same time it may have been more noticeable?

I’d say it’s about a gallon for both cylinders and the hoses.

impressive - my plan is for next year, but not sure that I can wait ... guess I should order one in October the 55" grapple for the Kubota BX23S
