Idiot award for the week

I've done this too on a number of occasions. Along with leaving the parking brake on while mowing. <-- When I get my new tractor I want a dummy light saying duh, the parking brake is on!

The best one was with the box blade, I ripped up a nice chunk of grass in my front yard.

Then during the winter I forget to lift the snow blower sometimes and start going forward... helps if I lift it up.

Mental note for my future endeavors ....coffee before tractor work :)

This one take the prize.

A relative and his wife were having a heated discussion returning from a bike ride.
He , as usual, drove his car into their garage using his remote door controller.
Problem was their 2 bikes were mounted on a roof rack.

The 'spat' was very costly!

Back in 2001 I was clearing ground and cutting trees to get ready for the builders to build our house. One day I cut down a walnut tree about 40' long and about 3' in diameter. I limbed it up, chained it to my tractor and dragged it about 150 yards uphill to where I had my splitter. My plan was to buck it up, then split the wood to use in our new fireplace after we moved in.

I got to the splitter, unhooked the chain, then started to move the tractor. It seemed strange that it felt like I still had the tree hooked up, I looked back and it was where I put it. Then I realized that I had just drug that tree there with the parking brakes engaged. Sadly I didn't learn my lesson. Over the years I repeated that feat dozens of times. I've even done it a couple of times with my new tractor. :banghead:

I drove about 50 feet across the lawn without raising my sub-soiler. But I really meant to do it, honest!

I usually shut the tractor off before I drop the implement and immediately return the lever to the up position. Otherwise I forget to raise it every time.

Exactly what I do.

At least you can say you aerated the lawn!
