Kubota B6100E
Hello all. I am new as you can probably tell. I currently have a b6100E that wasn't really mine until about 4 months ago. It used to be my grandfathers, he had a 10 acre estate. about 3 years ago he became unable to maintain his land so i took over for him...cutting the crass, clearing dead trees and so on. Anyways my grandmother recently sold his piece of land so now i have this b6100E and nothing to do with it. As they were moving out i found a hydraulic blade made by kubota for the tractor and didn't realize my grandfather had it. So for the past 4 months i've been changing all the fluids on this tractor and i managed to figure out how the hydraulics on the blade work. So now i dont have anywhere to play with my new toy. ITs sitting in a garage at the office i work at...(masonry contractors...) and i was just wondering if u guys had any ideas with what i could actually do with it. Oh yah the mower deck can no longer be used because it runs of a belt and the pto blew recently. I was wondering if a 2wd b6100E would have enough pushing power to be plowing heavy amounts of snow...i do have rear tire chains. for it. Also wanted to know just how much this tractor is actually worth. Sorry this is so long. Just letting everyone know my story, as i love kubota tractors and cant wait to get a big piece of land so i can justify buying a newer model. Oh yah i'm fairly young at only 19, but i do know a lot about mechanical workings of machines seeing as how i maintain 2 rough terrain forklifts for my masonry company...well fathers masonry company. Anyways nice to be part of this wonderful forum

Welcome to Tractorbynet, Andrew. Sorry I don't have any answers for you, but if that mower deck is still in good shape, surely the PTO could be repaired, couldn't it?

The blade can move a heck of a lot of snow as long as it isn't one of those real thick, deep snows. It depends on where you live and what type of snow you get.

Those are tough little tractors. It will push a lot of snow. You will have some trouble with spinning tires, because they are not that heavy. But, they have tons of power for the size. If you have a belly mower it probably operated off of an electric cluch on a front pto. You should still be able to by that assembly and get your mower working if you want. I had a 4wd B6100E for about 20 years and I replaced a couple of those clutches in that time. Also be sure and check the connection. At least once I thought it was the clutch only to find the connection was loose.

Thanks a lot guys, Well the deck does run of a front electric pto figured it just needs to be replaced...was thinking of getting a rear finishing mower so i can do away with the stupid belts, well one of them anyways.

Hi Andrew

I've had pretty good success pushing snow with my B6100DT. Most of the time I don't run it in 4wd. Although, I'll admit I was running 4wd in these pictures...

Hi WVBill. Great pictures! That is certainly some snow! I live on the other side of the state and haven't seen that kind of snow here. Speaking of snow, how do tractors with ag tires go in the snow? Are chains needed? Mine hasn't seen the snow yet, just mud.

WOW it seems like it can push a lot of snow. Didn't think it would be capable with that. It doesn't even look like u have chains on your tires. Do you?

No chains. I have antifreeze-filled turf tires on the back and Ag (R1) tires on the front.

Biggest problem is that my home-made plow blade is so far out in front that if I try to take big "bites" with it angled, it just pushes the front wheels in the opposite direction even if i'm in 4wd. I need to figure a way to get more weight up front....
