General Request to pretty much everybody (or so it seems).

Can we ease up with the references to the shopping site named after a South American river? Jeff's already a multi-billionaire and he doesn't need your money. The little guys do. I know a lot of times when you buy from there, it's a little guy seller, but that isn't always true and even when it is, Jeff still gets his cut.

I just find it annoying that so many threads point people there for one thing or another that is almost always available from other sites.

Just say No to JeffCo.

Sorry but Amazon has by far the easiest to use website and “free” shipping. I’ll continue buying from amazon until something better comes along and I don’t see that happening for a while.

I can almost always find the same thing cheaper someplace else with really free shipping, not paying $120/Yr up front.

I stopped buying from them two years ago. I received a few items that were clearly used sold from and shipped by Amazon so I buy elsewhere. I have found that ebay is my go to for just about anything, free shipping and quick along with people that seem to care about there customers. It's nice to have the feedback section as well, if I see any complaints I don't like, I don't buy from that seller.

I just rec'd the rope saw I ordered Sep 21st from the convenience of my La-Z-Boy which cost me $4 less than the best price I could find elsewhere, including e-bay.

I'll gladly pay that $4 when I find things if it means Jeff doesn't get any and will help smaller companies compete.. I rarely even look there any more. If I do, it's only for a quick comparison. If I see something there, I'll always look other places and can usually find it for the same price or less. Remember that nearly all retailers ship now.

If I could find what I need from the little guy /gal, I would gladly shop with them. But, I'm not to drive 30-40 miles for something I can wait for. Besides, have you ever tried to explain to someone over the phone what you are looking for ?

Yeah, last week I needed a clamp to pick up a 55 gallon drum full of diesel. Called around, no one knew what I was talking about. Looked on Amazon and found exactly what I needed. Here in 3 days.
It saved me more than $4.00 in gas money driving from place to place just hoping they have what I'm looking for

Yep, it's also easy to make a link to there that is fairly permanent versus a link to an eBay ad or a manufacturer's website that goes away in a month or a week.
Also, if you think that eBay and PayPal DON'T stick it to small businesses, you would be wrong.
