Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

LOL, those of us that generally forget what we came to get once we get there need labels on our drawers
.
Heck some need to label front and back on our 'cotton drawers'.

LOL, daughter gave me a pair of socks that actually were marked 'left' and 'right', (they were special socks for mountain climbing)
I guess climbers don't like bunched up material under their toes, they actually are the nicest fitting socks I have ever worn.

Hah! I'd make an exception for labeling mountain climbing socks. Mountain climbing will keep you sharp too! Well, at least I don't know any old, careless mountain climbers. :)

I do have buddies that will come over and work on their vehicles here, especially in the winter since my garage is heated. Often I would tell them as they were heading for a tool to go to the left stack, middle box... Or right stack upper box.... But even when I had the 2 stacks I always had the drawers labeled. And it helps my 70 year old father who doesn't memorize my tool box layout.

I find that labeling the drawers is helpful so that others can help put things away into the proper places.

It's a work in progress. I'm going to dissect the wrench holders to get rid of the wasted space from the HF sourced "Wrench-It-to-Me" organizer. They really should have been manufactured with perforations to allow you to easily snap the various regions apart. I'll cut them with a Dremel and tighten it up and hopefully have all of the line, ratcheting, box and curved wrenches all up into a nicely organized drawer. 20181103_205611.jpeg20181103_205625.jpeg20181104_090735.jpeg20181103_211153.jpeg

I'm getting the wrenches better organized. HF has these black soft plastic wrench organizers. They suck as they come because they have this odd hook on the top that sorry of fastens the wrench, making it hard to get in or out.

I took diagonal cutters and snipped off the hook that screws it all up, now you just set the wrench in or grab it up. I also cut the carry handles off.

I'm going to redo the metric drawer tomorrow. I also pulled a set of SAE wrenches to my US General 4 drawer cart. That helped create more space and roomier organization in the big box.20181105_211202.jpeg

That's what I paid. The 72" was with the $100 off coupon. The 56" top and the 2 sides had nothing available to save.

It was around $1940 out the door, and I'm happy with that price. I've really created great organization in my garage, and in doing this it forced me to really go through some things and make decisions to scrap a lot of junk that I've been hanging on to for over a decade. I'm doing a major garage shop clean up. It's going to take me a couple weeks to complete, I'm working 12 hour shifts currently do I only get a few hours per evening to work on this.

Tonight I got the Superduty back in it's bay, I hope to get the Jeep back in it's bay by Thursday.
