Tires Valve stems bad

Loaded tires on my BX25d have been fine for 4 years but today I went to put my chains on and found the tires almost deflated and the valve stems wont take air. I got the chains on and somehow forced air into the tires by putting my air blower attachment on my compressor line over the valve stem. The little valve inside the stem that you push in to air down seems to be pushed in and not coming back out. Like I said, I somehow forced air in past the valve with my blower attachment and quickly put the cap on and they seem to be holding for now.
I need new valve stems for sure and I supppse the tires have to be broken down to replace them..? Im also thinking of getting rid of the liquid inside the tires and leaving them dry or unloaded...Any thoughts?

I forgot what the liquid is but it looks like water coming out of the valve stem. I recall the salesman telling me it was something other than water though...maybe treated with something to keep from freezing? I tried my small tool that removes the inner part but could not unscrew it...must be corroded. It is just a common valve stem. Thanks for the reply.

If it were beet juice - its red, sticky and can very likely be a bit stinky. Otherwise - salty tasting - sodium chloride // smells like windshield washer fluid - its some kind of blend of WW fluid and water.

If its salty - you should expect to change the inner core almost every other year//

Get yourself a "man sized" core removal tool - twist hard - the inner core will break loose and screw out.

Thanks! Yes the core tool I have is the plastic one that comes with a bottle of Slime...lol! I may take a ride to the dealer after plowing this afternoon. Hopefully it is that easy of a fix!

Not beet juice. Smells like WW fluid.

Made in china quality valve stems

If your tires are loaded with Calcium, it eats metal parts for breakfast and all day long. Inner tubes help.

Frt or rear tire valve core leaking? If rear tire just replace the complete valve stem assembly

Rear tires both of them. Can this be done from the outside or do you need to break the bead and put it on from inside the wheel? And if you did not notice the tires are loaded.

Just discovered there is a tool that removes and reinserts a a new valve stem without removing or breaking the bead on a tire! Buying one!

Hey Mow,
A few weeks ago I went out to pick up leaves and noticed rear tires looked low. They are loaded with rim guard. I get the valve stem to 12 o clock position. Go to grab the cap to remove ever so lightly and next thing I know I am being sprayed head to toe by rim guard. So I plug the the stem with my finger while trying to decided what to do. The metal core had just came right out of the rubber part. So either I could take the loaded wheel off and try to get it to dealer 30 miles away to repair or have a expensive service call. After looking around online I came across Haltec quick stems. Figured what did I have to lose and ordered two off amazon. Once they showed up my dad came over to help. I pushed it in then tapped it lightly with a hammer to make sure it was seated. Had to have my dad hold the stem with pliers while I tightened the nut down. Aired it up and picked up leaves three separate times no air leaks or rim guard leaks. They are a little pricey but well worth it in my opinion. These are all metal so hopefully I won’t have that problem again.
