I just purchased a Boomer 3050 and always thought the same thing. My assumption so far is that the nose is much shorter than most by far so it appears the loader is way out there. Maybe even the wheel base has an effect too. I just measured my Kubota
M5140, which is a utility and is a much bigger (heavier) and more capable tractor than the Boomer for lifting and such (size difference in avatar).....That measures 16' front bucket tip to 3pt pins. So my point is for as much as it looks like it's sticking way out there, I think it's just a design difference. Haven't used the loader yet, but have used my brother in law's (3040) and it will be fine for what I'm looking for. Happy with the purchase so far. The Super Suite Cab and Blower combo is heaven for me!! CVT so far is great with no problems (learning curve for sure)....hopefully that holds true for years to come!
